Hey everyone - I know this was a long time coming, but I've finally got a version of The Pill v0.4.0 for you to play!

PC Version 

Mac Version - NOTE: This has not been tested due to lack of access to a Mac (thanks coronavirus), the successful function is not guaranteed.

Alt Mac Version - This is a .tar rather than a .zip - there is a suggestion this might fix the "cannot be opened" problem.

PREVIOUS VERSION (0.3.5. - with Belle): PC Version | Mac Version 

What's New in v0.4.0:

  • The game has been re-written within a new game engine (Unity). This might not feel like much, especially given a lot of the game content is the same but it opens up a lot of new possibilities going forward. I should note though, that this change almost brings us back to a v0.0.1 in terms of UI aesthetics and bug crunching. I'll be working on improving both of those as time goes on (as I slowly did from the original v0.0.1).
  • I've removed the CG Gallery and replaced it with an achievement system that will unlock videos as you discover them, and CGs for discovered endings.
  • New menu system that allows for individual volume changes, as well as custom text size, speed and font type for dialogue.
  • 20 new expressions.
  • 5 new animations.
  • 4 new endings

Notes and Bugs:

  • This update, as previously stated only includes Trish's arc. Belle's is still of course playable in v0.3.5 and will be added back in (with the new achievement system) in a later version.
  • There is still a loading delay when loading Trish's level. Turns out Unity still struggles with it like VN Maker did. I have been able to add in a loading screen though and will be looking at splitting up the scene so there's more of a progressive loading (this is one of the benefits of using Unity).
  • Trish can occasionally drift from her center position. This is a known bug and I'll be looking in to it.
  • Just a note for those familiar with the old version - we have a lesser version of the Fast Forward function in this version. I know it was a popular feature, but it also often broke the game. You can still speed through dialogue by setting the text speed to be the fastest and hitting spacebar (or holding down the fast forward button on the bottom right).
  • Because this is all fresh code, please let me know if you come across any bugs, typos or issues that break the game, and I'll try to hotfix them ASAP.

how do you open the mac app?

The file is encased in a .zip, so it should be a matter of downloading the zip, extracting the .app file from it to your desktop or app file and double-clicking "The Pill MAC.app" file. Let me know how that goes and I'll try to provide what assistance I can.

I too am unable to open it. Could be a Catalina issue.

It could be, it certainly seems like the latest osx is causing some compatibility issues. I've added an alternate download as a .tar file which might keep the extra permission items that the .zip seems to strip. Try giving that a download.

PC - The window is stuck at a fixed size which, for my laptop at least, is tiny.

Mac version is not opening. I am getting this error message. LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file ~/Documents/PIA/The Pill MAC.app.

hmm how come I can't do Belle as well is Trish the only character?

Dude. This. Was. Fucking. AMAZING. It made me love Triss much more than I could ever imagine. I don't know what your plans are for the future but I'm really, REALLY hoping about a gigantic nude BE and a wombo combo of giantess/huge breasts/lactation. Runs like a charm on my system, the only issue I had is the Quit button that doesn't work at all (maybe it needs a catalyst like...milk pills?) and I have to Alt+F4 every time. Keep it on man, love your content!

Hopefully in the future you might be willing to add a shrinking option but either way this is fantastic! Great job as usual.

It's in the notes above, but in this build only Trish is available (I've bolded it now). You can still play Belle in version 0.3.5 (https://www.patreon.com/posts/pill-v0-3-5-30745085). If you're on a mac, hold off as I'm uploading a new copy of that version and will announce it shortly.

Cheers Hektor, glad you liked it :D The groundwork is definitely there for a mixture of all 4 current pills at work ;) Interesting about the quit button - is it just the one in the pause menu or on the main menu?

Played through every ending several times now. Gotta say dude, my favorite is by far the one where she takes multiple pills at once. All that growth at once was beyond sexy. Don't get me wrong, I love em all but that particular one really did it for me. Do you have plans for any more outcomes like that one? Would love to see more like that.

This new version is really cool. I guess it would be cool if there is an ending in which Trish gets a pill (or several pills) and teases main character, without sex ending =)

Mac user. Had to use the tar. I'm running the most recent OS. So far it seems to work as intended. Are all the trish endings attainable?

Really glad to hear the .tar is working. All the Trish endings are obtainable - if it has a ? on the box in the achievements menu it can be unlocked.

Nothing to prevent more endings like that. The preference is noted. There have been some good ideas for endings around here lately, I might add a poll about them next month.

I like Trish gets the height option, it's nice that they each are a little bit seperate! I'm hoping there's a little more dialogue through options too even without growth, it's just so fun hearing them both voice their thoughts and such after they grow. Double growth Trish was my favorite, while I don't care at all for muscles, taller and curvier was great! Only just found out about you through seeing this being shared, so wanted to show my support! If there ever is future increased size, it could be fun to do in things like slip an extra pill or somehow "block" the lactation to increase the BE.
