Hello there Patrons!

We're back with a look at the promising but maybe a touch stilted episodes of AHSOKA!

The first BIG SWING to the Filoni-centered material that's been slowly permeating the current crop of D+ Star Wars content!

We dig the measure pace and score highlighted in the opening action scene!

These Orange-tinted Dark Jedi led by Ray Stevenson (RIP to a MENSCH) and whom we've begun to affectionately call Loki Olsen, are really well designed and interesting ALONG WITH THEIR FRIGGIN' WITCH PARTNER - MORGAN!

The episode ends strong with a cool call to adventure and we're digging Mary Elizabeth Olmsted as Hera, Sabine, and CHOPPER!

Also, WE NEED TO STOP STABBING PEOPLE IN THE STOMACH AND ACTING LIKE IT'S A BIG EFFIN' DEAL or WE NEED TO STOP STABBING PEOPLE IN THE STOMACH! Shit, Qui-Gon is ROLLING AROUND IN HIS GRAVE!

We got Vox Machina dropping tomorrow, along with a new MMM and more!

I was definitely eye-rolling through a lot of these two episodes but overall I enjoyed them, I just kinda wish Dave Filoni was a better writer. So much of the plot relies on characters being stupid and so much of the characterization is hamfisted to say the least. I think it makes it worse if you're the captain of a ship transporting a high value prisoner and you suspected all along the strangers you just allowed onboard aren't actually Jedi.

I just need a bit more life and actual direction for this character, I can already tell that this in'ts an Ahsoka show that's not really gonna be about her. It's Sabine's show, which is a lil' weird.

I thought the first two episodes were a good start but I feel like if you haven't seen Rebels it's like a waste of time because you aren't familiar with the characters.

I doubt the Disney Entertainment Corporation wanted to spend 150 Mil on something that only a few million SW fans can watch. I think it’s working fine, as a non Rebels watcher
