13 people pointed towards ymir hence the 13 year lifespan of the titans i think the different kinds of titans became a thing after ymir died??? i googled it yes after ymir died and her powers were passed down the different titans became a thing "Eventually, the powers would split further into the individual Nine Titans, which were subsequently inherited by nine of her descendants." the end scene of eren is straight from the manga so manga readers have been fed well :3

To be fair, I don't think the show did a great job in the sound design of that moment. They could have added a lot more noise to make it clear without obscuring the dialogue.

It's the exact opposite of what you think. It's actually super rapid, and this show can dispel a shit load of info very quickly to avoid spoilers we basically stayed away from all things internet regarding this show. So we didn't have anywhere near the same content diet that you likely had. Rewatches, Reaction videos, analysis breakdowns, comment threads, and discussions, the manga, all that shit that people are prone to backfill their own memories with and erase their wrong initial takes. I think people kinda forget how much shit is in this show and how they project what they CURRENTLY KNOW from maybe their knee-jerk take was AT THE MOMENT before your book reader friend told you what actually happened, or you googled a YT breakdown. Consider this every time you watch a reaction video of anything.

I like how you assumed Mikasa not hearing being selective, and not that the rumbling was just incredibly loud. Imagine the sound of a million colossal titans marching across the land and the sound of all the walls crumbling to dust. You'd be able to hear/feel that for MILES.
