I mean they've been talking about shit since Season 1 XD remember every time Levi asked Hanji what was taking her so long if she had a hard shit or something along those lines XD oh and when Reiner said that the titans have a 2nd weak point being their ass? for some reason the creator of this show really likes butt/poop jokes...they crop up more in season 4 it's p'weird

Yeah i knew you guys would like this episode a lot cause of the, well, ya know. Anyway in case yall missed it yes Levi was implying that he too was an Ackerman, since he had the same "awakening" as Mikasa and Kenny did. Theyll get more into it in a few episodes tho.

At the surface, the show is about humans who turn into titans. Underneath, it's a story about humans turning into monsters. Sometimes just showing child-killing and head shots dont get it done. Sometimes its worse than that. Think about Guantanamo bay, whats going on in ukraine, and china. etc. The atrocities we do cant be ignored and isayama is highlighting that by showing the "good guys" have someone in their ranks do that too.

Exactly. Zachary is obviously an amoral monster with his own sick twisted machinations, but they needed his support in order to upend the current establishment, which was (arguably) the greater of 2 evils in this case. Similar to how the Allied Powers united with the Soviets during WW2 to defeat a more serious threat. I think it’s a good plot point and shows that our guys aren’t necessarily completely squeaky clean. They’re willing to dirty their hands a bit to accomplish their own goals.

I love Erwin’s quote in this episode. “Humans will stop fighting each other when we’re down to 1 human or less”. People will always have irreconcilable differences. It’s a very poignant line.

Actually Eren saw memories of what is shown to be his dad in that cavern and facing down Frieda's titan. I won't give away more but going by just that we know Rod is at least telling the truth about Grisha being involved.

Which is funny since one of the reason's the western powers didn't do more to halt the nazis rise in the first place was to keep the soviets in check. And after WW2 the allies helped build up Germany once more, again to halt Soviet advancement.
