Ah yes, the Maya reveal we've been waiting for since the very beginning of this chapter. 

Her design was fun to figure out. I did the initial sketch some 4 years ago and alas this jpeg is all I have left of it:

But in Io's description she was very bland-looking and robotic and I figured i'd push the featureless angle to the point of making her bald. That was actually a very last minute idea I came up with and Io didn't seem to mind so...the final result is what you see in this page. I'm sure a more thorough artist would do some more concepts, but I've put all my points into making that promo art in the last post.
