Hey everyone,

I hope you are all doing well!

Now this week I’d like to share some artwork from Marlies- a freelance artist who helps me out now and then.  And last month I asked her to make some rooms for the ‘Maintenance Maze’;  a huge maze in the lower decks of the ship.

And so, this is what she made!

1. A corner.

2. A dead end.

3 A corridor.

Now I must say...  I am really super happy with these results!  Especially considering  it’s not easy to copy someone’s artsyle -and my sketch wasn’t too detailed either -->

So these illustrations by itself are already great! But the maze & it surroundings will eventually need many more rooms. And to make that easier, these files were also set up as a ‘buiding-block-set’. So that means I can add parts (like doors), or remove parts (like pipes & cables), to make more variations.

Well, here you can see how such a file is layered.

Now using 'building blocks' is of course a very common technique in the games industry – but it wasn't really something I could apply in Space Rescue yet (because of the many unique locations in the game)...but now I can!

Well,  Marlies also made some sexy ‘Take Downs’ for the wrestlers story. But, more on that soon :)

And meanwhile I’m finishing up the next game-update-  it should be done before before the weekend.

Well, till next time & all the best!

Robin

PS. You'll find more on the Maze in this post.
