For those who don't know, Cookie was my very first rig I started out with back in 2017. As such she's a very broken rig, the mesh and rig itself need major updating, so it feels SO nice to finally be fixing her up!

Along with the slight style update, she has a longer more slender neck and ears, slightly shorter tail and some proper paw pads. Her slit and butt have been modelled open so I can texture and rig them much easier. The model is not final and needs a lot of topology refining.  

At this stage I'd love to get your feedback. On previous rigs I haven't asked this as I didn't have the time in my schedule. She's a real important character to my cast so I want her perfect for you guys <3

I'd love to see some horns on the gal, other than that I feel the choices you've made have been an excellent change while also being faithful to your original design. Great work! Here's hoping we'll see ple ty of animations with the new rig ;)

Nah it's modeled open so that I can texture the inside, and rig it up way easier. It will look like normal after that process is done don't worry :)

If possible don't get rid of the old face. Use for male versions if you ever need a model of one

That perfect More of a female dragon body. Before yeah, it looks the same. I didn't care But this perfect. She looks a lot taller. Great work. I support your work to the end. What is the color gonna be for Her Is it gonna stay pink? Is the male version gonna be blue? This is a compliment and a Question?

Horns would really suit her well yeah, but I want to stay true to her design. I'm super excited to test the new rigs ability, glad you're liking how she looks so far :D

The colours will be similar to her original design but higher quality. The displacement map (map that gives the skin detail) will be much better on this version :)

Absolutely! Since you're spending the time to detail the inside of her Vulva then perhaps some cunnilingus would be an excellent choice to show off your hard work!

I definitely love that new design but agree with a few others keep the old design a bit for the male model that other face is a bit iconic to your work so I'd like to see the new one in its entirely going forward but that older design definitely suits a male if it isnt to much work to keep both.

The old model is too broken for me to want to re-use it, but for a male version of the V2 rig I could square things off in a similar way to make it more male like.

Oh yeah my bad i meant like having two different models on the face I'm obviously not as informed on how using models work, but even if you just square things off it looks fantastic and i can't wait to see what you do with extra time in between stuff

It's hard to tell with such low resolution images but her paws look really fat in the new version. Her face looks a lot more feminine which I REALLY like but the paws/toes need more work I think. I would spend more time on the trying to make them more feminine.

I am very excited to see her in action! Personally I really like the new design. My favorite change is the underside now being more sleek. Which I think will allow a very full belly to be much more clearly seen. uwu

It looks good so far ! Maybe I would keep the toe bump of the first model on the new one though would look better for paw related animations

Yeah the male version will be based on this version 2 rig, I'll work on that after having the female version done :)

She looks more feminine for sure, less androgynous. I like the sleeker look. Definitely got the cute vibe going more strongly. I would not underestimate a longer tail though. Not sure how hard it is to rig a tail or use in an animation, but they do have their "uses".

It seems like I am completely different than everyone else as I really don't like the new design? It looks like a completely different character, and it looks far more 'cartoony' than i am comfortable with. I'm not sure why, but overly 'feminising' basically an animal doesn't quite sit right with me, like, because she's female she has to have more feminine traits? I can't stress how much I prefer the original cookie, the more realistic (I know it's fantasy) proportions and features made the animations seem really grounded even when the plot wasn't. In the end, it's up to you, but I think she was beautiful as the more natural and androgenous cookie. ❤️ This is only my opinion and preference though!

I'm glad to hear a different opinion so thanks for sharing yours! I think a big part of why you might feel this way is that the new eyes seem much larger so make it seem overly cute and not realistic. They are a little bigger, but they are not yet in the half lid form like you see on old Cookie, which it needs to be in for better texturing/rigging. When I get to altering the eyelids to be in half lid form I'll try some variations to see if it helps with what you're describing.

It should still be long enough to have some fun uses, but most of the time it's just swinging around, so this makes it easier to animate a little

Unfortunately... I don't think it's the eyes, large eyes are fine as Steve says. It's more the fact that, her snout is smaller and slimmer/more pointed, her face is rounder as a whole, making it more doll-like, which would be okay-ish if her neck didn't taper heavily (slim neck). Her body is positioned less like a four legged creature and now like a kangaroo or an animal that goes between four and two legs, with the look like she's about to walk on her back legs. All this adds to her being cartoons/doll like but also getting very close to uncanny valley because you've given her more generic (western ideal) feminine human features. Biscuit has the exact same problem, and it's distracting enough that I can't watch anything with her in it. I think she looks a lot like an animatronic (biscuit), with the strangely human features etc. again, you don't need to care how I feel, it's your designs after all. If you like that effect then fine, but if it's something you don't notice then maybe look at the designs with more consideration of that factor? It looks like I'm very much in the minority, but everyone here is your fans in some respect so I understand that. I love your work regardless, I just may end up drifting away from those characters if they do turn out that way. ❤️

In nature, the 'male' look and 'female' look don't really abide by what modern people have 'deemed' feminine and masculine. Most creatures really have the same bone structures etc, and reptiles even having the female being larger quite a few times. It frustrated me that people seem eager/willing to push our 'ideals' onto these basically four legged animals, it's becoming closer and closer to uncanny valley as the faces morf into weirdly human concepts of male and female. I don't like the new design, but I'd argue that if that's what they choose to use then it should be the same for both models, otherwise... It just feels a little icky putting out gender stereotypes on this stuff. They're animals! I understand what your saying though, and seeing as I don't like the new model I'd be happy to keep a lot of the old one for any male scenes at least lol

I just really loved that older model so saw others saying if possible to have two different models for girl and boy and if it was an option for someway to keep both new and old I'd be down whatever is made as the final decision it won't change how much i enjoy the content

She was blocky before not by design, but just because I wasn't very good at modelling back then, and through the process of box modelling she ended up looking more androgynous than I intended for a female dragon. So the roundness is fixing that error, I'm glad to hear that you've liked her design all these years, but compared to the rest of the cast and to me it is just an error that I'm happy to fix now I have the time to. Don't worry about the legs being angled that way, this is called an A pose. It's better than the standard pose with all legs straight down as it lets me texture her better, and the rig will deform much nicer than before. When it's complete her legs will be angled straight down like in version 1. The neck isn't tapering heavily but I can see why you might think that from the angles that have been shown. It's now just following the curves of the body better, as version 1 was too straight and I always had to adjust for renders/animations. You're the only person so far to not like her but that is useful to hear since I'm sure there will be more with a similar opinion. I've already made some adjustments to the eyes and I think it's helped a lot. I know I can't please everyone but I'll give it my best shot to keep as many happy as I can do, I hope you do still like her when she's finished :)

Oh I like it!!! Very feminine and sleek. That face!! ❤️ Love the paws and the updated musculature in the shoulders, hips and forearms. Definitely an improvement, though I wonder if the overall proportions (length) of the bones in the legs would benefit from being minutely adjusted. I can't say for sure what throws me about them but maybe playing around with the lengths in one way or another might yield something cool? My gut says they might be too long. We've been loving what you've been coming out with. ~

Glad you like her! The legs are just about the same size as before, but right now they are offset at an angle to allow me to texture and rig them better. When final they will be moved straight down like on version 1 :)
