For the first of this week's updates, I want to share the final bit of content of the pest control storyline.

First, The Dark Oncer (you've probably seen him around here) was kind enough to turn Pest Control into a kind of dynamic sequence with sound effects, movement and everything. I already really liked the story but all these added effects really elevate the story. You can go over to here and check it out. I'm really happy with the result and hope you are too. Seeing the story like this really makes me wish I actually had the skills to do animations. Anyway, his bitchute has some other nice work too, have a look.

Also, I am sharing some SFW work of Sam. From the start I imagined Sam to be gym rat, the cool girl who rides a motorcycle. These are character sketches I did way back before she had a name, before the alpha spider came along and ruined her day. I refined the lines a bit, added some color and there you go. I might refine the sketches I have of the others too, at some point.

Concepts for the new underwater story took more time than expected but are almost done, I will share those tomorrow.

I'll up my pledge to get VAs on these videos!

Matt (not that one)

This is the kind of concept art I really appreciate, with some backstory to boot. Excellent work as always!

Why final are we not going to get this story continued?

zeroGravitas

Yeah, I was referring to pest control specifically. That story ended when I started with rescue party. The overall storyline still continues with actual rescue party, I'm working on more of the shower scene for that one.

畫風很棒,尤其那蜘蛛絲繭的黏住是絲絲到位

Just an idea I had, for something you might do between entries in the main storylines: You could do one-page slice-of-life pictures of the cast, showing them in situations that don't involve horrible monsters. For example: A group training session, with our class in a briefing room at the base. One of the base/company officials is showing them a video of ways to "safely" fight one of the creatures. Our cast could be paying different levels of attention (Iris writing down detailed instructions, Kim & Evie passing notes between them, Lena looking at her phone, etc.)

I think we all would not mind more perils and spider pregnancies of the the first character before the events of rescue party and transparent variants of the first story and more explicit close ups and angles, but it’s more up to you as an artist and which direction your art would go.

zeroGravitas

Really? You'd be interested in seeing more of that story? I wasn't planning on it but I can certainly do that. I can't get enough of drawing tight spiderweb cocoons, but I also don't want people to get bored with the same specific setting all the time.

Mulekick83

I agree with the sentiment tho, it would get repetitive after a while both for us and zero. I think the direction you're taking it now works, we still get the amazing tight cocoons we all love to see whilst also having different settings e.g the shower.

Ghost

You have a lot of skill and passion in pest control/rescue party. It actually kickstarted this whole patreon community. I would say from the narrative standpoint the story telling is similar “Cute girl in tight suit kill some monsters but then get overpowered naked and cocooned by the said monsters” in all of your stories. But we are here for cocooned perils and the very special erotic aspect of it that you catching so well. That is why community will probably not going to get too tired from Pest control/Rescue party extras for a while as long as you don’t get tired drawing it.

Looking forward to the underwater story! Someone has already thought of this, but I have to wonder at all these creatures who shoot ensnaring goop. Makes me think that there must be a great deal of flying creatures about the place on this planet, who maybe have their own way of capitalising on the hides of certain space fairing hairless apes...

Sam's a cutie!

Mrorome

Sam's so cute! I hope she'll make a come back in some other story after she gets her well earned rest :)

Having only a single character, Pest Control allows the audience to really focus on the intricate details of the spider's handiwork. I love all of ZG's cocoons but to me Sam's stands out above the others for that reason.

Spiders and insects in general are an extremely creative bunch. Velvetworms are silk throwing predatory caterpillars. There are also spiders that lasso, use casting nets, and underwater spiders... Imagine a variation of pest control just with an underwater spider. It could simply trap prey in it diving bell.

I like seeing more of Sam - and I agree with the other commentators, she's definitely cute.
