I switched to work with a 10-bit color depth and again it maybe have a problem with brightness. Therefore, I ask you to download and compare 2 versions of animation, also write if you have problems with playing new H.265 codec.

Idk maybe its just me but the shadows of the old make it set the mood better and doesnt have so much highlight everywhere but thats just me

I can run both no problem, New is maybe a little too bright for the mood.

Both vids work with vlc player on android phone. Old has the better mood, better colors and darker shadows. New is brighter, highlighting things better. It's a hard choice. Can you maybe show an example during daytime? The new version may look washed out in brighter scenes.

Shadows look better on the old one, but the bloom isn't as annoying in the new one. Colors look more moody in the old, but more lively in the new

voted old, but both vids are encoded with YUV/4:2:0/10 bits etc...dont see any diff except for bitrate actually... I'm on an HDR display too, so I _would_ see diffs if there were more color data in one than the other. can you try using an HDR-level color format? these are in BT.601

The "old" version looks better. The new version is too bright and washed out. Both run fine for me.

I like new - easier to see fine detail. And the audio codec gives me problems on both.

Usually your videos ran fine for me on WinMP but those only run in VLC for me :0

I don't notice much of an impactful difference between the two. The new one seems to have less contrast, but that didn't change the quality much for me.

The new one look brighter indeed (using mpv to compare). I advise against using h.265 codec, better wait a bit and use AV1 instead when it's ready for mass consumption.
