Hey, everyone!

Over the next couple months I'm planning on restructuring my Patreon goals a bit as well as putting a bigger push on some content for my Original Characters.
Those of you that have joined in on the Discord chat may have noticed my recent post asking if you all would be okay with a temporary hiatus on Aegis Omega pages while I push on another project I'd like to work on.
The response has been supportive and positive so far from both you folks and the writer of the series, and for that I am truly grateful. <3

I really love AO  and I definitely don’t want to stop drawing it indefinitely. But I do have an unrelenting urge to draw this slice of life thing that I've been bouncing around for a year or so.

That said, you may also recognize that I've been posting a lot of work with characters I've not formally introduced just yet, these are the folks that are front and center for that story.

For the sake of convenience I'll introduce the main four here.

Meet Ahmed (the gorilla), and Roderick (the goblin)

I know you've all seen this drawing before, it's my banner pretty much on all of my social media. XD

Anyway, on with the introduction.
Roderick is a nurse at the local Hospital's emergency room, and Ahmed is an illustrator.
Both of them work hard, live together, and try to stay out of trouble.
Occasionally Ahmed runs errands for his brother Bruka (my self insert haha) whom owns a bakery called 'Cake Dad' for some extra cash.
Bruka also provides free cakes and bread for the main folks on occasion as well.

Ahmed Roderick are the featured characters in the test chapter I've written recently.
If you follow on twitter you've likely seen me make mention this on occasion.

The story in question is a slice of life grenre where some people are infected with a virus that transforms them into human/animal/smetimesfantasycreatures at varying levels of intensity; this of course throws all kinds of wrenches into a lot social norms.

Think goblinization from ShadowRun.

As mentioned there are a lot of social implications that come with this, but I mostly want to focus on their daily lives, interactions, and struggles with living life in a world like this.
I will be posting more details and sneak peaks on this test chapter for patrons in separate posts at a later date.

In addition to these two we have the two boys from my latest illustration post

Meet Ben (the Rabbit) and Sidca (the actual human).

These two are mentioned in the test chapter, but are not featured.
Ben is the super of the apartment complex the main characters live at.
He creatively repairs the building to keep it up to code while struggling to make it affordable for everyone there.
Sidca is a reseller of goods from the more expensive areas in the city that are cordoned off to people infected with the transformative virus.
He gets them at a low cost and resells items for a small profit to people who couldn't afford them at full price. More on how he does so will be shown in the patron preview posts. <3

The plan is to have individual introduction chapters for each of the characters before getting into some of the more plot heavy things.
These guys have a bit of a more serious storyline, but the story will focus on their lives and struggles just the same as Ahmed and Rod.

As for the goals restructuring.
The current Goal set is a bit lacking and just has small rewards rather than things I'd like to work towards over a longer period of time.
As a result, you will likely be seeing these change up soon to reflect the goal sets that currently match what I'd like to do with my art going forward.

These goals will be milestones I'd like to achieve as I try to focus more of my time on creating what I want, and less time feeling like I'm working on things I don't have a personal stake in.

If any of you have any questions or concerns regarding this, I would be happy to hear from you in the comments of this post or in DMs if you'd prefer.
Thank you all again for being so supportive of me thus far, I really appreciate all of you.
I hope that this small course correction doesn't bug you folks too much.

Love,
Bruka Jones
