Hey friends,

Here's a little refresher to everyone: last year, we figured that if we'd keep releasing 4-5 models each month, we'd be making over 50 models a year. At this point, adding a couple extra regular models a year as loyalty reward didn't seem like a good enough reason for anyone to stick around. And it also was also growing increasingly hard to figure out what kind of loyalty reward would satisfy most of our audience, considering the wide variety. So we decided to give up that idea completely and instead focused on using LR as an excuse to develop and expand our own Bulkamancer setting with new original characters, designed based on ideas by our community.

Last time, we came up with Bulka Crustreaper, our main character, who can allegedly animate and control pastries, although so far nobody has been able to confirm it's anything other than make-believe. And now it's time to introduce her self-proclaimed rival Mokka, a barista in a coffee-shop who suffers from Bulka's antics every single day.

Character backstory: Coffee with pastries - where can you find more harmony? And "Mokka, Coffee & Pastry Shop" serves the most delicious coffee, for their barista clearly knows her trade well. And you know what's even better? The workers can take home any leftover pastries that are not sold before the shop's closed. A truly wondrous workplace, were it not for one thing - nobody ever managed to lay their hands on even the tiniest macaroon. And for that, they can thank the loud and annoying girl who calls herself Bulka (Seriously, "a bun"? What kind of person even comes up with such a stupid name?).

Every evening, within the last open hour, you can purchase five pastries with every cup of coffee at 70% discount. And that has been the reason for Bulka's daily raids. Sometimes, the barista's hopeful eyes shift back and forth between that precious eclair and the clock, ever so slowly counting down the last seconds before the shift is over. And yet, every single time, the door bursts open at the last moment, and a skinny figure with a giant scythe waltz in (This can't be a real scythe, right? It's got to be just a realistically looking cosplay prop!), wearing a wide ear-to-ear smile on her round face. In a way, she does resemble a bun after all. In a blink of an eye, she purchases all leftover pastries and several cups of coffee, then disappears without ever waiting for the drinks. And on her way back, Bulka loudly bids goodbye to the barista, calling her Mokka. Dude, seriously? She's got her own name, like any normal person! But Bulka doesn't even bother trying to remember it, instead calling her by the name of the coffee shop. And even more so, every time she pauses for a second before the entrance to read the name of the place, as if she wasn't the one visiting it every damn evening! Or maybe it's just one of her raid spots, and in reality, she terrorizes baristas across the entire neighborhood? Come to think of it, how can such a slim-built girl even stuff that many pastries into her stomach? What does she do with them? Why doesn't she get fat from all those nightly carbs? Why doesn't she take even a single cup of coffee to help wash it all down? And where does she get enough money to burn like that? Normal people have to work for a living, you know! The more questions pop up in Mokka's head, the less sense she can make out of it all. And as much as she'd like to forget about Bulka altogether, the girl makes too much of an impression with her every visit. And it's kind of hard to forget the person who leaves behind around a dozen untouched cups of coffee for Mokka to drink. What, you didn't really think she'd waste perfectly good coffee? Sigh, if only there was but a single croissant to go with it...
