Hey friends,

If you haven't been keeping up with our news, we have recently decided to split and alternate the polls by character style: anime and, well, non-anime. The idea is to give both directions an equal chance of winning by not throwing them all together in a single poll. If you've been with us for a while, you know that, instead of just sticking to the same thing over and over, we like to experiment to see what works and what doesn't. This is one of such cases.

I know there have been a lot of debates about what counts as anime style and whether some "not quite anime" anime characters can be slipped into suggestions. Honestly, I really don't know what to tell you, the distinction was very simple in my mind: if you have to play the "well, it is technically not anime" card to defend some character, then yeah, it most likely is anime and should be put on a different poll.

Still, Victoria, our artist in charge of sculpting the current winner, liked a lot of proposed choices and did a very thorough research before she handed over her character list for the poll. I was really impressed by how she approached it, breaking down all options by popularity, number and quality of already existing models, and estimating her own skills to handle it. We only made a couple changes after a review, and I believe we came up with a pretty solid and diverse poll this time.
