Hey friends!

Scroll to the end of the post if you're not interested in tl;dr version.

If you have been with us at least since September and actually bothered to read these walls of text, then you probably recall that Mofu joined our team for a trial period of 4 months, after which she would decide whether to continue working with us. Of course, Mofu has been a great addition to the team and instantly became our artist for Jim Gordon Tier commissions, as many people wanted to get a figure done by her. And as much as we had hoped she'd stick around, this was not meant to be. With too much on her plate right now, she has made a decision to take a break and not continue her work past the initial agreed period. We've known this for the past few weeks and have begun preparations for her departure. We are very sad to see her go, but we fully support her decision and will keep our doors open if she ever reconsiders and decides to come back to the team. Just so you know, we part on very good terms and it's entirelly possible to see Mofu from time to time as a guest artist, should she have enough time to squeeze.

That said, we completely understand that some of you joined the Patreon specifically for models made by Mofu, which is why we think it's only fair to give you an advance warning should you choose to terminate your membership after her leave. And in case you are unsure which models were created by her, here are some pics to refresh your memory. In total, she created 5 models over the course of her association with us, all of which will continue to be available even after she leaves, so don't worry about losing any of them.

We would like to thank Mofu for all her hard work over these past four months! It has been a wonderful experience for us to work with such an talented artist and we wish her great success in future endeavors, whatever they may be!

While filling Mofu's shoes will be difficult, we are already working on some steps to do just that. As such, we have established a contact with a promising new artist with a vast background in 2D art who previously decided to switch over to 3D sculpting and is currently graduating from a proper 3D modelling school. Despite her lack of experience, we can vouch for her enthusiasm about joining us, and it would be great to have someone with 2D drawing skills to assist us with concept arts, if nothing else. She is already working on a project for January to show off her skills, so we'll soon see what she has to offer!

Also, we are not planning to settle for having just two artists and are laying up the ground to increase the team even further over the next few months. The actual growth will depend on support from our patrons, as we'll need to make it profitable for artists to join with us instead of staying individual, but if we keep growing steadily we might just be able to expand to 4 artists in 2023. Wish us luck and help us make this dream come true!

Lastly, on the subject of Jim Gordon tier commissions. Since Mofu was our commission artist up until now, the tier will be on hold until we are confident we can deliver good quality work with our current resources. We'll let you know once we start taking commissions again!

Key points of this post:

  • Mofu has chosen to leave the team for personal reasons.
  • Her models will continue to be available.
  • We have a new potential team member already working on her first model for January.
  • We plan to grow the team to 3-4 artists in 2023.
  • Jim Gordon tier commissions are currently on hold.

Thanks for taking the time to read the post! We hope you'll continue to support us and help us ascend to new heights in 2023!

Cheers!
