Hi friends,

First of all, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Des, the guy in charge of QA, public page maintenance, and pretty much anything related to 3D-printing: pre-supports, test-prints, packaging and whatnot. And today I'd like to announce a few updates:

To start off, some of you may have already noticed our new banner and templates. Neither me or Elena are any good at graphic design, but here's hoping the new interface looks nicer than the old one!

More importantly, someone reported that some pre-supported Ranni STL files had holes drilled through them. This oversight has been fixed, and I apologize it happened in the first place. While on it, I also hollowed some of the bigger pre-supported pieces to save resin.

A kind reminder: please don't hesitate to message us if you ever encounter a problem with the figures!

In other news: a few people contacted us lately asking for an uncut version of one figure or another, either to print it with FDM or scale down to miniature size. We discussed it and agreed to provide uncut files, although they won't be pre-supported. We'll add uncut files to existing figures over the next few days.

Also, on the subject of miniature-sized figures, 54mm or lower. I'm terribly sorry, but we won't be scaling down Areelu or any other figure for tabletop campaign size. For one, there is quite a lot of work involved in ensuring the miniature remains printable, so we'd be spending time making several versions of a single sculpt instead of creating new ones. But most importantly, Pathfinder is IP of Paizo Inc. Back when Areelu sculpt was just created, we contacted their licensing department in hopes of turning it into an official figure, but their terms were extremely unreasonable for a small-time artist, by far exceeding any potential annual profits from a single sculpt. So, here we are, and we'd very much like to not aggravate Paizo any further by stepping into the territory of making unlicensed miniatures of their characters, which is essentially their primary business. I hope you understand and won't hold it against us.

Now, for the most important news in regards to the bonus figure that we promised this month. We really wanted to keep the details a secret until the release, but oh well. Here's a small teaser.

I'm extremely saddened to say that Elena has been bedridden with illness for the past week, only sculpting on rare occasions when she feels a bit better. We were keeping silent until now, hoping for her swift recovery, but at this point it doesn't seem very likely. While both of us hate blaming circumstances for not delivering our promises on time, I'm afraid we'll just have to face reality this time: it is extremely unlikely that the bonus figure will be completed before May. That said, we fully intend to deliver the sculpt to all our April patrons, even if they decide to cancel their support in May. So, just so you know: regardless of whether or not you stay with us for the next month, we'll send every one of you an email with the download link once the figure is completed. Make sure to keep checking your email next week so you won't miss it.

Cheers!
Des
