Good night creatures of the Graveyard!

I hope the summer has treated you well. It hasn't been as gentle to me, the heat has been unbearable and with the AC in a constant state of sometimes working and sometimes not it slowed me down a bit. But nonetheless, I believe it's time for me to show the project.

If this doesn't make sense. go to the announcement channels and go watch the teaser...

Have you done it yet? No? Well. That's on you! I'm still talking about this.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, What did we just watch? A couple of seconds of the new animation and the title?

Well. yes and no, you see the new animation is gonna use NEW AI TECH-Ok, that was a joke, no, the new project is something between a game and an interactive animation. Not truly either and not truly none.

So it's A GAME?!

NO. Well. I dunno. Maybe?! It's hard to say what's A game and what's not, my mind is still fried with all the heat and coding I had to make to make this work even if it's something kinda basic.

Look, game dev is very time-consuming and while at heart I wanted to make something with more Gameplay the weight of the reality is that...it doesn't have that much gameplay, to begin with, I don't want you guys to assume this is a full fledge game, hence why I'm saying its more akin to something interactive.

WHY NOT MAKE IT A GAME THEN?! WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME DEADPIXEL?!?

BECAUSE IM NO PROGRAMMER *Kills itself* Fuck! Curse this curse that lets me roam the earth even while dead. CAN I NEVER TRULY REST?!

Anyways, yeah, I wish I could make it a full-fledged game, but that is not yet feasible, Gameplay, Pauses, Cutscenes, Enemy, Rooms, all these elements are needed to make a real game and I made this only in a month, it's already a huge achievement, I would need at least another month to add just one or two of these elements and that would mean not releasing content and we can't have that.

So no game?

No game....for now.

This was meant to be done as an experiment to measure my abilities. Coding, Spriting, Animating, Writing, and Conceptualizing, all this took me a lot of time, and I'm just a dead man.

YOU ARE A FRAUD, LIKE TOBY

I UNDERSTAND YOU NOW TOBY.
I mean, yes, I am yes. But it doesn't mean you can't PLAY it, it just means there are not many gameplay elements, basically what I have done as of now is a cutscene chaser, you can interact with the world, you can talk with your favorite characters and...MORE!?

Ok, That's enough for me! WHEN CAN I PLAY IT?

I KNOW BUT NOT FOR ME. Ah, right! The release date. I just need a couple more days to finish the final details. expect it very v e r y soon

AAAAAA YOU SON OF A-

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, now for some final thoughts, Gamedev is very hard, I'm very happy with some of the things I managed to add, and I'm very frustrated with some stuff I didn't manage to add. I started to feature-creep myself and wanted to add more, and more and more. But! It's not the time yet, while it would be amazing to add more rooms to explore and more stuff to do and all that, it would hinder the overall point of the experiment which is to release something in a very reasonable time.

Just a reminder, temper your expectations and know it's, not a true game, as in, there's no much to do but talk, explore, and f-

I hope you all are looking forward to this little experiment and I hope you like it.
Thanks for reading. Now, I'm back to the grind but first...

I gotta make myself a cup of coffee.

This update reads like a fanfiction.net foreword(affectionate). But seriously congrats on such a big undertaking! It's not easy diving into a new medium and honestly it's smart to understand your limits and treat it as a learning experience. Can't wait to see what more you make in the future c:
