I said it would be done around the 2nd/3rd, but it's now the fourth, and it's still not finished. Welp.

Right now, I'm gonna stop promising dates and simply say "I'm nearing the end, but still learning / figuring things out, and I will post it ASAP." How long will that be? Hopefully a few more days, even less if things go smoothly, longer if game-breaking bugs occur but it's very hard to give a specific time frame. It turns out converting the entirety of your usual (super quick) work process to a new method takes a lot of time.

Example: in my old method of working, one interactive element of mine would feature one line of code. In the new method, there's about 80 lines of code for an interactive element. Each line of that code required trial and error to get it to work as intended. And then a heck of a lot of elements of this project have similar amounts of code, all of which requiring trial and error to make sure they work as intended. So yeah, lots of pain and frustration. And while the results are worth it (because almost everything is code, there's less lag somehow?!), it takes time to learn.

I feel slightly less guilty as it's a hiatus month, but even so, I feel bad for how long it's taking. Note that the length of time taken to make this doesn't mean this animation is full of scenes: it'll be one introduction scene and then the main interactive expansion scene. But if all goes well, there will be plenty of different dynamic dialogue parts to see, along with dynamic animations and combinations thereof. Plus, that elusive "expansions you control the speed of"! Is that worth all the struggle by itself? Maybe!

All of what I learned should make future animations have plenty of options for complexity, but I had to learn them first, and this was the project that I finally stopped saying "haha I don't know how to code lol" and I learned enough code to do some cool things. If this new method fixes the severe lag HTML5 suffers in any way shape or form, then it was absolutely worth it (I hope that's the case when I publish it!). If the animation lags to hell even after converting my entire process, then I don't know what to say or do. Lag is just a part of our lives, I guess.

Tl;dr, I'm concentrating entirely on Rihanne's Deluxe, and will post it the moment it's done and not broken to hell and back. I'm nearing the end, but I don't want to promise a date. Any questions about anything, feel free to leave a comment or send a DM. If you're waiting eagerly for this, I apologise. I hope the finished Deluxe will be worth the projected wait!

Hey I know you are doing your bestest right now. And while I don't a lot about computers but I do know there is a lot of methods to them, especially involving codes and numbers. So you take your time and I hope you have all the space you need to make sure things run smoothly. Its always better for things to get done right than done fast.

Take your time! Better to get it done right rather than just get it done quick.

Yes take your time, relax.

Hey folks, thanks for your infinite patience. I'm going to say that tomorrow (8th June) is when I post Rihanne's Deluxe, no matter what. I'm in the final stages (adding sound effects, bug testing, adding in buttons for expanding freely etc, but I doubt it'll be finished tonight. Or if it is finished tonight, it'll likely be rife with problems. So 100% tomorrow, I will publish it. Now that I've said it, I have to honour it XD Thank you again and see you soon with an actual animation!
