A Possible Patreon Overhaul and a Reboot of Survivor Island? (Patreon)

Lately, as the existential crisis of life has loomed in over me with a combination of health issues and a car accident as the cherry on top, a re-evaluation of my life and what I need to do to achieve peace of mind has crept in over the horizon for me. I've set on the path towards finding a new job to better my living situation and as such, relying on the Patreon has become crucial to me as of late. I would not be able to live without it right now and that's not an exaggeration.

However, the amount of work I've been putting into it has felt a little off balance as of late. I initially set the lowest tier at $1 dollar because I was told it was crucial to have for the sake of engagement and maybe that was true at the time but I do feel like for the amount of work that goes into bi-weekly stories and images that tier needs a slight extension. So I was thinking of changing it to $3 dollars instead.

What that would mean is that the $1 dollar tier would go away and be replaced by the $3 dollar one. You'd still get the same stuff however. But, I also want to incentivise people to invest more in what I wish to do going forward which means putting something slightly above it that would be worth considering.

So I figured that since I have a $5 dollar tier that currently isn't doing a whole lot, why not utilize it for something big. I'm thinking of rebooting Sonic Survivor Island, giving it a whole new name, cast, and set of challenges, and placing it in the $5 dollar Patreon tier exclusively for you guys.

As it would go things would function like this:

Tier #1 - $3 - Bi-weekly stories. Polls to choose the next story on top of that.

Tier #2 - $5 - The Survivor Island Reboot and any other exclusive comics I decide to post.

Tier #3 - $10 - Remains the same but will focus more on letting those within the tier choose what images I get to draw. I'm already pivoting towards that now actually.

Tier #4 - $50 - Stays the same but you'll get more bang for you buck.

Tier #5 - $100 - Same thing I said for Tier #4. Even more so.

I would need to delete the first tier and re-introduce it for it to work which is risky. Patreon won't just let me change the price of the tier everyone is already in so that they can choose to opt out after I inform them. That's why I'm making this post to see what the interest for this change is. If there isn't any or if there is enough push back then I'll just keep things the same.

I would need people in the comments to tell me what they think about it too. I know 3 dollars isn't much and neither is 5 dollars really but it can make a bit of a difference for some people.
