Note 2 : As you may have noticed, and as planned, I suspended all payment from patreon starting january, 1st. You may still have an "ongoing" subscription going on, if you paid anything between december,2nd and january,1st. As announced, I'll continue to post both here and in subscribestar until January,30 so in theory nobody should ever pay for something you won't get. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Heya everyone,
First, let me wish you all an happy new year. Like the previous year, I'll probably do a more extensive post about my plans for 2024, and as you may guess there's a lot to say !

But first, we're gonna focus on the more immediate concern and the next update status. Overall, things are progressing well but I still have a lot of work to put on for a couple weeks. As you may guess, I had to take smalls breaks here and here the last few days so obviously that hindered a bit my dev time. Still, the end is in sight.

Art:
This involve everything that need asset creation modification, from 3D modelling to texture, shaders... It's a really wide category and probably one of the most time consuming section, as creating a new model can take some hours.

I'm mostly done with the current art, but I still have some assets to create for the more AB-focused part of the level. I'm saving a lot of it for the very end as I first want to get the logic and programming done.

Design:
This is also a quite broad section. It include using the created assets to build a level, and create in the engine all the necessary parameters to make the level work.

This section is pretty much done, as currently the level is playable from end-to-end.

Programming:
This is pretty self-explanatory. The programming involve all the code needed to make the game's logic work.
The whole level logic is done, but I still have work to do on the "escape" sequence that need some custom programming. It's probably here that I'll have to put a lot of work this week.

Writing:

This is also pretty self-explanatory. The writing can be split in two part : first, writing the general layout ,plot point and flow of the level. Then, writing the finals dialogs.

Right now, most of the dialogs of the level are placeholders, and I still need to write definitive ones.

Bug-Fixing:

Another really obvious section, this involve every bugs I know of in my backlog at the start of my planning session. Of course, this can increase over time.
I'm having another bug fixing session today as some of you reported some annoyings bugs to me that I deemed very important because potentially game-breaking.

So, here it is ! I really hope to free some time this week to give the last push needed, so I can polish things out and making things pretty.

With that all said, I'm back to work ! See you next time!
