Heya everyone,

So, it feel like it's been so long since I did a devlog ! The current events are still impacting, of course, but gladly I'm still managing to find time to work on the game and I made great progress the past few days.

I''ve started the last level by the main dish, since I think it's the main event, and it will need the most care. This mean of course, providing a fun, interesting and right way to close the story. 

I've tried to put together quite a cinematic environment, something that will feel "special", with a nice starry sky, a transluscent dome that allow you to take a peak at the town below... I still have a lot of work to do to craft the place, but that's the feeling I want to go for.

I also finished working on the main "combat" loop. The goal here was to integrate a bit of action, to break out of the "run away from guards" type of gameplay that I think is becoming a bit stall, while still providing opportunity for our special content to be played out (I'm very careful with what I write now, so I guess everybody understand what kind of content I'm talking about). 


So, the goal of the event is to avoid getting hit by this giant ray, because getting hit could have some...adverse consequence on your continence, while using the environment to throw things at it until it break. 

That's very simple, but from what I've playtested, it feel quite good, and now I just have to balance it so it isn't tedious nor hard. That's not the goal here. I'm also adding some flavor, like the welcoming help of our dear sidekick. 


Now, what happen if you get hit too much? That's a story for another time, but I've got something planned on that side too. My intent is to have a sort of "fail" state that will work a bit like the hospital capture event, but this time, more in line with what I want. I will also make it so it will only be played once, and it will not be possible to fail "twice", because I know this can feel extremely tedious.

All in all, things are going well. I've got a bit of delay in how I planned the update, but I've got a fair amount of work done this week, so I'll continue like that and I'll keep you up about the release date. 

As a side note, i'll post soon, probably tomorrow, about what I've decided for the future. I'm mostly decided now, but I want to make a specific post about it so we can focus the devlogs on the game progress.

cant believe it the final boss. i still remember when you were still building the haunted house level. time really does fly. ps i was reading the walkthrough and im pretty sure you copy n pasted the hospital level with the school level
