Heya,

As I said last week, this week I'm focusing on the caregiver club. While I don't want it to be 1:1 mirroring the diaper club, the thing that should still be pretty equal is reward that can have an impact on the story. 

On that side, the diaper club allow you to buy a rattle, that, correctly used, unlock some actions like a close hit and a throw that can get rid of annoying guards. So, it should be pretty obvious that the caregiver club must get a similar reward.

This align nicely with my goal of providing more content, especially around spanking. So, I started my week with the designing and the engine-work around this new item : the Cat Paddle.


My next goal will be to design an event around this that will allow you to spank the littles. I would want to make it a little more dynamic than when you,as the player, get spanked. I've tried to play around with an event where you get to choose when you strike and the NPC react accordingly, and I think it can be a nice compromise. This is honestly something that's hard to get right : if everything is static and don't allow a little player freedom, why even do a game in the first place? But on the other hand, giving too much freedom is really hard from my standpoint as it multiply bugs and dev time. 

So, moving on, as I said in an earlier post, I'm also planning and beginning to work on the next area. I finished a rought on-paper map of the area, and now I've to begin testing it in the game to see if it feel good. 

On that side, I've decided to experiment with a more natural, sculpted terrain to give it a more wild and organic look. All the current area of the game are base on little puzzles pieces organized in sort of tiles, and, while it's really easy to work with, it give a very "gamey" feel and as a result the areas are kinda flat.


As you can see, sculpting terrains allow for a more diverse landscape, that, I think, will fit very well with a more natural area.

Of course, this is a very rought design and it will probably be scraped until it's far more refined.

So, after all this modeling, I'll focus on designing and coding the spanking event !

As a side note, we're one reply short of 100 in the current survey  about the game. It's a pretty nice millestone because data can start to become a bit more reliable even if we're still having a very wide confidence interval. So, if you didn't participate yet, don't hesitate to take a shot!
