I definitely agree on Nami and Emily. She's my favorite both in the anime and in the LA and the best actress of it for me too. She's got my favorite backstory and scenes so far. I'm only over 100 eps in though.

I couldn't believe that Buggy turned out to be my favorite character. I thought a clown character would be sooo cringe (haven't watched the anime btw), but the actor really knocked it out of the park! I love him!

This covers about 90 chapters, not quite 200-300, so we have a LOT more source material!

The scene where everyone at ‘home’ see the wanted poster is episode 45 in the anime. So, if they do it like that in the next seasons, it could be over 20 seasons. Calculated, not really. The actors will change over the years. Even if you bring the time skip into the picture.

This is about 45 episodes of the Anime. I think they did a great job and covered a good amount. I hope that one day you’ll check out the Anime One Piece. Even though the Live Action is good the Anime has more depth to it.

Since you guys loved the actors, I recommend checking some of the publicity videos released after, with the main cast talking about the show and stuff. For a lot of them this was a passion project, and you can really see it (Ex: Nami's and Zoro's actors were fans of their characters way before the live action was announced)

This episode's ending always gets to me, the child actors saying their dreams but in their adult voices 🥹. It's like you don't have to give up on your dreams even if you grow up. It's so sweet! It also gets across One Piece's theme of Dreams and Freedom really well! (Also I am soooo impressed that you remembered Helmeppo's name, the LA said his name once!) Zoro's backstory would've been better if Kuina didn't die, god the possibilities would've been amazing, but no, she had to represent the tragedy of child death :( . I definitely like Sanji's character more here than in the anime. They played down his womaniser/simp tendencies, so here he just comes across as a charmer rather than annoying/borderline creep behaviour. Nami is just as amazing in the anime as she is here, and Emily Rudd knocked it out of the park! All in all a great Live action! (I think out of all the live action animes up till now really).

the tatto is a pinwheel and a tangerine. (genzo has a pinwheel on his hat and plays a bigger role in the anime/manga. genzo is the guy with the scars)
