Through the first 3 seasons, 90% of the episodes will be the best episode you've seen yet. Then the show continues to maintain its high standards all the way through to the end. During my first watch through, I was skeptical until at some point I realized that I had been watching a masterpiece. It wasn't a sudden moment, more of a gradual build that you look back on and realize how far you've come. The pacing is deliberate and rewarding with some of the best payoffs in anime. You'll never get another first time, so just enjoy the ride :)

I think this was very well said. While I think some arcs are better than others, every single arc is SO necessary for everything that comes after. Everything is important and matters to the story.

I’ll have to wait till season 2 of the One Piece live action to get you guys into the anime I guess. Hunter x Hunter is pretty good too, especially later on in the series. If you like Hunter x Hunter, I would definitely also recommend Yuyu Hakusho, which is the series the creator of Hunter x Hunter did before this series and it’s a much beloved series. The only reason no one reacts to it is because it’s not a shiny new series and this newer generation of anime fans aren’t as familiar with it. I’m sure one day it’ll get remade or reanimated in some way and it’ll get the same attention Hunter x Hunter did when it was reanimated. Before Hunter x Hunter was reanimated no one was interested in it.
