Yeah despite Zoro being my absolute favorite, he does unfortunately have one of the weakest backstories imo. The promise is cool and something to keep him going, but definitely not as fleshed out as other backstories. Doesn't stop me from loving him tho ;)

If you guys want more pirate stuff in the future, i highly highly recommend the show Black Sails. It is one of the greatest written shows of all time and truly incredible. Only 4 seasons as well. I really hope you check it out sometime.
