So here are a few things to help you guys understand the context better: 1. In the age of SMS, the majority of people in Japan don't use cellular network to text, they use e-mail on their phone to text, and every flip phone in Japan is able to use this function (so as Kaguya's phone). And in the transition scene after the whole exchanging contact business, they actually exchanged e-mail addresses. 2. Line is an app like Whatsapp (so old flip phone cannot use Line), it is more popular to use Line in places like Japan and Tai Wan. 3. The trait about Kaguya having mean thoughts but doesn't show that Carlie mentioned is one of the classic traits in anime characters, it is called '腹黒' or 'Haraguro', which directly translate to 'Black Stomach'. Anime is a media that let us hear the character's thoughts more often than other media I would say, so traits like this help us understand the character's personality better. 4. One other trait that Kaguya shows is 'ツンデレ' or 'Tsundere', which is very very common and popular in the anime world. You can break the term 'Tsundere' into two parts, 'Tsun' means being cold and blunt, 'dere' means being affectionate, so you can see it's the contrast between two that attracts people. The reason that I explain this in detail is because there is one part in a future episode that this will be relevant and I don't want you guys to be confused.
