WOO UPDATE! Scroll down for links!

I have an abundance of excuses for why this is so late. Skip to the end of the post to hear me bitch about life, the universe, etc... ANYWAY. This update is an exciting one for me, but it was the most difficult to code so far. There are a few major features added, but it's worth check the changelog for all medium/minor improvements. Please remember that these features are WIP! Let me know if something isn't working as expected or if you have suggestions <3

Fluids

When a character cums, some of their fluids are stored in the tanks at the bottom of the screen. You can click a toy on the tank to coat it in that fluid. Fluids act as lube, making bigger toys easier to insert. You can keep coating it in more and more fluid, making ridiculously-sized insertions possible on even the smallest characters. 

There's also a certain fetishy goodness to the act of lathering a giant dildo with one character's juices and cramming it into someone else >.>

Right now it's kind of a proof-of-concept for the fluid storage/transfer code. It's simple and performant, so I can build a more robust system of fluid collection, storage, and transfer. For the future, think milking stations, piping, force-feeding, etc. I tried to write this ages ago, but I was too inexperienced at the time to handle it. This time, it's working!

Clothes

Under the Accessories tab, you can dress a character in multiple clothing types. So far there's only a few options. There are blindfolds (which actually blind the character), a gag, and socks. 

The socks show off a cool piece of the clothing system- dynamic coloring. You can click through a handful of color presets. In the future, I'll add a color picker so you can use custom colors on clothing to make your slaves pretty >:3

Penetration

This one's a little hard to describe in non-code terms. The penetration mechanic has been overhauled! Toys are now modeled with a simulated hitbox to give the game a more accurate idea of a dildo's shape and size. 

The previous penetration mechanic was too simple to build upon. It worked by attaching a few size points to each part of the toy (e.g. size 1 for the shaft, 2 for the knot). Then it'd compare that to the tightness of the orifice to see if you could insert it. It worked okay, but there were a lot of clumsy interactions, and it wouldn't support the fluids/lube mechanics.

This upgrade was HARD to code. I went through 20+ versions from scratch before I landed on something that felt right. Here's what's improved by the new mechanic:

It tracks the exact shape of the toy, giving more feedback for bumps/knots. Forcing a too-big toy in, for example, will give a more realistic response of the orifice slowly swallowing the knot.

When an orifice stretches to accommodate a big toy, it'll still squeeze down on it. Bigger toys will still feel big, even in a stretched-out orifice. But if you want less friction, lube up! 

Knots/bumps are tracked even when inside. 

You can slowly loosen up an orifice by pushing bigger and bigger toys in. Lube helps, or you can go in dry. Shoving in a monster dildo will be easier with lube, but it'll still stretch and hurt! A lot of these features are incremental (but significant!) improvements on previous versions.

Characters have a variety of unique traits per-orifice: default tightness, max stretchiness, stretching speed, wetness, and aptitude for taking in toys dry.

Also- UI and eye tracking improvements, arousal, fear, and other features. Full notes in the changelog below!

Changelog

  • Fluids added. Fluids are currently generated upon orgasm and can be applied to toys as lube.
  • Toys are visibly coated in more and more fluids to indicate how lubricated they are.
  • Lube allows insertion of too-big toys into tight places.
  • Orifice tightness, stretchiness, wetness, etc. is set per-character. 
  • Penetration system rewritten to be more responsive to toy shape and size. 
  • Size meters now indicate how big the current insertion is with a white dot, making it easier to tell if a toy is too big for the character or not.
  • Size meters show how big a toy can be inserted without pain. However, larger toys can still be forced in.
  • UI tabs added for sanity- "Main", "Spells", and "Accessories"
  • "Main" UI tab shows normal meters.
  • "Spells" tab now has the status effects like restricting orgasms or forcing consciousness.
  • Status effect added- "cums quickly". Useful for milking out fluids to use as lube.
  • "Accessories" shows the clothing menu.
  • Clicking a UI tab again will hide the UI if the visual clutter is too much.
  • Clothing mechanic added- clothing can be character-specific and dynamically colored.
  • Blindfolds added. Prevents the character from reacting to anything except physical stimulation.
  • Gag added.
  • Socks added. Click the color button to swap sock colors. Also tell me if the colors suck and I'll fix them <3
  • Attention/looking mechanic overhauled. No longer uses a point system, but instead tracks how "interesting" something is based on a set of character preferences (their personality)- Desire, Disgust, Anticipation, and Fear. This'll be a little more useful in future versions when each character's preferences will be configurable.
  • Characters are most interested in bigger/more vibrating/shocking toys, and by other characters edging or cumming. They're more interested in toys touching themselves than in toys touching other characters. If nothing is happening to a character, though, they'll just watch their partner. (WIP. Per-character preferences will improve this a lot in the future. E.g. one character might be a sadist or love watching others take huge toys, etc)
  • Arousal mechanic overhauled to contain two components: focus and buildup.
  • Focus Arousal is tied to what a character is looking at (unless they're blindfolded). It might be something you're holding, another character, or something that's touching them. You'll see their arousal meter jump up instantly if they see something they like. (super WIP)
  • Buildup Arousal builds over time from seeing arousing things or from being stimulated.
  • Arousal makes the orgasm meter climb much faster. It also adds wetness if the character has a vagina at the moment. It also affects how blushy a character is.
  • Fear mechanic added. If it looks like something will hurt them, a character will get scared. They can be both scared and aroused by something. 
  • More faces added to account for more mixes of emotions. (WIP)
  • Disgust and Anticipation added. These aren't too relevant yet, but they're the opposites of Arousal and Fear. Their uses will be more clear when each character has a unique set of preferences.
  • Struggling from pain/fear and squirming from pleasure/arousal are no longer mutually exclusive. Fixes problems with flitting back and forth between struggling/squirming.
  • Cumming splatters the screen with the appropriate fluids for a second. 
  • Sound effects should loop way better now. Hopefully. Web audio is actually really hard for some reason.
  • All stimulation values tweaked. Vibrators nerfed. Manual thrusting/stroking buffed. It should be easier to pleasure a character with mouse controls or machines. Making a character pass out from too much pleasure might be a little too hard now- I'm working on a Breath engine that'll make overwhelming characters more rewarding in the future >:3
  • Tooltip system added for clarifying UI elements. Exciting. 
  • UI and background visuals tweaked.
  • 1,352 bugs fixed.
  • 11,601 bugs added. Fuck.


What's next?

Here's the plan- 

1. Put out public builds for SHF and Love Collector.

2. Get the Twilight rig into Love Collector and let y'all see it.

3. Under-promise and over-deliver for once ._.

Okay. This is the part where I pretend like my disappearance was justified (it wasn't). Don't worry- I'm fine! And I hope this update proves I wasn't slacking too much >.<'

I've mentioned this before, but- I am NOT GOOD at managing a public profile. My least favorite part of making games and art is posting them online and asking people to pay me for them. Not because I dislike the people, but because I'm so very introverted, and because I think you are all insane for how much money you give me, especially when I pull some BS like this. (plz don't stop giving munz tho)

So when I get overwhelmed, my instinct is to shut myself off from social media, Discord, Patreon, and my IRL friends. Cutting social stuff out of my life for a little while eases my stress and lets me focus on work. But, since I run a public Patreon and Discord and make public promises to everyone, this is a really bad idea and I shouldn't do it. I know that. Usually I can talk myself into posting a quick update to let everyone know what's going on. This time I couldn't.

So yeah, I got overwhelmed. A bunch of things conspired to fuck me over. First, I fell ill and was bedridden for a week. As I was recovering, I had a hardware failure (no work was lost cause I'm not an idiot). Then I fell ill again. And then someone stole my identity. It was constant back-and-forth with my bank trying to get fraudulent charges removed, dealing with late payments due to frozen accounts, etc etc.

Like I said- this is the part where I pretend like my disappearance was justified. In reality, I dealt with all of that stuff in a couple of weeks, and spent the rest of the time working silently and ignoring all the messages from people asking me if I was okay. 

I'd love to promise that this sort of thing won't happen again in the future, but I know myself too well for that. Solitude is my drug addiction. I can only promise to try my hardest to update you all when something unexpected comes up, and to keep in better contact if an update is taking a while like this one did.

And, from the bottom of my heart- ya'll are crazy and I love you, even if I don't respond to your messages. If I was donating money to someone like me, I'd have ditched me and told me to go fuck myself a long time ago.

If you have to take some time to yourself then do it! I don't think many of us will care so long as you are doing just fine! Hell Christmas is coming up and that's time for Family, so take that time to have a break and enjoy it!

In case you want to keep people updated without putting too much pressure on having to message people all the time, you could set up a trello board or similar, and send out a viewing link. Doubles as organization, and people can tell you're not dead, without you having to confirm it all the time :b Just a thought. Health comes first, don't sweat it &lt;3

I think Love Collector and SHF will get a free update this week. I know that people have been waiting for free updates for a long time. I know that many people don't have money for Patreon donations. Unfortunately, I'm a little disorganized!
