Great Great Asset Chapter 14 (Patreon)

Once all the zombie corpses in front of the gym were sold and gotten rid of. We walked into the gym and as we did so, I heard my bracelet give off a series of bleeping noises meaning that we were near some Primordial Energy Items so following the direction of the pings we went over to what looked like the gym's storage room which was at the end of the long basketball court.

"Alright, I open and shoot in front, you focus on what is on our sides and if anything comes from behind us you tap my shoulder and we move to the right wall." I spoke as I pointed at the long staircase of seating that went up the wall that we could climb up.

As I was well aware that these rotting zombies could power walk at best with stumbling steps... Actually going upstairs was going to almost be certainly too much for them and when bodies will be on the staircase as well? Yeah that would definitely be enough to trip them up.

Mizuhara nodded saying. "Alright... But Jake, when I was watching around previously. I swear I saw someone watching us from the school windows." 

I paused with my hand on the storage room door at hearing that before shaking my head and saying. "We will just have to find out the hard way." I threw open the gym storage room and...

Grand total of zero zombies. So I walked in with Mizuhara watching the door so we didn't get pinned in and I quickly scanned around until I found the 'PEI' item and it was a baseball that was worth seventy-five credits.

"Should I try to throw the baseball and see what happens?" I mused as I hefted up the otherwise nondescript baseball before shaking my head. As god knows if it would explode like a bomb upon impacting something that could kill me or just waste the weird energy within the baseball.

I quickly sold the baseball and walked out to Mizuhara who was leaning against the wall and taking in the whole of the gym scanning around for roaming monsters so I gave her shoulder a quick squeeze before I said. "Alright... We got the Gym so we should try to start clearing out the main school buildings." 

Mizuhara gave a weak smile and replied flatly. "I have a bad feeling about this." 

I slowly nodded and replied frankly. "Yeah. The hallways and classrooms aren't exactly a great place for a fire fight nor do we have any true idea of what else we are dealing with besides just zombies... But the zombie corpses are perfect for racking up a load of credits to say nothing of the actual higher-value items in the school."

Before I could say anything else though, a loud rumble rang out making me lash out to grab Mizuhara as our eyes widened while looking at one another as the thought of an earthquake rang out. 

But instead just past the loud rumbling noise came the staccato of gunfire of all things that made me frown as I said. "Come on." I spoke as I thought that maybe Yang, Sinder, and her group followed us this way and had engaged with a monster.

We quickly made our way to the source of the gunfire which was toward the track field and I blinked at seeing what looked like two women wearing kinda skimpy maid outfits that had some distinct changes in style. With one of the two holding another woman up by the throat in the air with one hand.

'Obviously superhuman.' I thought with a frown. As even a very strong human man couldn't raise another human up with one hand with no shaking in their hands and steadily strangle them in mid air.

But as I took in the two maids... I couldn't really recognize who they were despite them looking vaguely familiar. But the third woman, the one being strangled. I definitely recognized her with her shorter black hair, dark red sweater dress and those tight fitting black stockings.

'Ada Wong?' I thought before I took a breath and came to the realization that I needed to do 'something' 

As it would be better to know now before they could kill Ada if they were an enemy.

So with Mizuhara grumbling about how I was a dumbass I entered the track field with their and as my feet hit the grass in the center of the field the two women visibly twitched with them both turning around to look at me in confusion.

"Hey! Why you killing her?" I asked casually as I held my AA12 to the ground slightly with one hand but I knew I could raise it up in an instant.

The two maid-like dressed women very differently looking even if they were both beautiful with curvaceous forms that were displayed in their outfits. One, the one who was strangling Ada Wong was shorter than the other and had also had shorter blueish hair. 

The other who had more of a nordic noble-like look to her had drill-like swirls in her long luscious blond hair... But beyond their general appearance, I realized that they both had glowing crimson eyes that set me on edge.

'This was a bad idea.' I thought as I held in a shiver at how the two looked at me deeply with the shorter blue-haired woman negligently tossing Ada Wong away... And my thoughts were right as the casual toss from her sent Ada Wong skidding and rolling across the ground.

"How long has it been Horn?" The blue-haired woman spoke as she held a finger up to her lips.

And the blond-haired woman named Horn apparently responded in a husky voice. "Ah Chess, its been quite literally forever, as we have never been able to taste an untainted man's blood in this hellhole of a universe." 

'Oh fuck.' I thought as I realized who these people were vaguely as I recognized them now from Owari No Seraph as those vampire waifu side characters.
