Kunou awkwardly handed Beldia's head over to me while I smiled wryly at the flush in her cheeks at how Beldia called me her 'father' of all the damned things.

"Alright," I spoke up as I gagged Beldia with a sock and then put a strip of duct tape over his mouth to silence him. "Let's get back to the town of Axel. I want to pay off my debt as soon as possible."

The kitsune nodded and after a moment of hesitation, she entered my arm so I could lift her up with my arm supporting her weight under her legs so she could comfortably sit as I made a Sitri magical glyph that formed under my feet and took off into the sky with us heading back to the large town/small city.

After a minute of ignoring Beldia's struggling head in my other hand I spoke up to break the awkward silence. "This guy is a dumbass, don't let his words get to you Kunou."

The strawberry blond-haired young kitsune shook her head and with a melancholic look entered her eyes as she spoke slowly. "I am... Not sure if I want to talk about it. But to put bluntly, his words hit kinda deep as I never had a father or any male figure to look up."

I stilled as she remained silent after that and finally I spoke up. "I see... Well your mother has done an amazing job in raising you Kunou, you are intelligent, and powerful for your age. And I am sure that in years to come you will be able to confidently take over your mother's own responsibilities."

Kunou actually snorted at my words before saying with humor in her voice as a small smile crossed her face. "I am well aware of how amazing Mother is. She is all but the queen of the Yokai, she is quite literally one of the most beautiful women in the entire world and... I kinda wish we had more time together." She finished with a small sigh.

My hand holding Kunou up gave her a small squeeze to comfort her and I remained silent for a while as we made our way towards Axel but eventually, I did have something to say. "Well, you are the most precious thing and person to your mother... Even though I have no idea why she trusts me to watch out for you. Beyond doing some bounty hunter work, I never met your mother before."

At my words, Kunou sniffed and said with some annoyance. "It was probably Amaterasu pushing her to do it then. She is fond of watching my mother as she is her 'mortal' emissary on Earth. Anyway... Can I come with you to meet this goddess that holds the debt of reviving me?"

I paused at hearing that and after a moment of thought, I nodded silently.

I could tell Kunou what to expect... But honestly Aqua the goddess was quite literally the most 'useless' of all the divines I knew of. So letting Kunou meet Aqua without an already doubtful bias would be for the best.

Plus I wanted to see her reaction to Aqua being a drunkard and getting more drinks bought for her by her admittedly entertaining party trick style of magic.

We remained silent the rest of the way to Axel as Kunou just relaxed agaisnt me with her eyes taking in the green forresty surrounding us until we reached the town of Axel and I dropped us off in front of the adventurer's building.

When I pushed open the door leading into the building I looked around and I picked out Aqua's blue hair in the distance as she sat with her back to me as she was trying to steal a bottle of booze from Kazuma.

We made a definetly weird sight as Kunou held my arm with one hand as she kinda hesitated as she could definetly feel the divine energy hidden away under Aqua's form. Though the ancient helmet with glowing red eyes I was carrying in my other hand was definetly also super weird to the adventurer's that bothered to watch me go to the table.

"Oh? There you are again, the guy with the kitsune loli!" Kazuma shouted as he pointed at me dramatically making my face twitch and without a moment of hesitation a loud metallic conking noise rang out as I instintively smashed him over the head with Beldia's helmet covered head as I thought he was Issei Hyudou for a second.

"Ah sorry about that. It was just out of instinct." I said with a wry smile as Kazuma held his bruising head while looking at me with teary eyes.

But I looked over at Aqua whose eyes were locked onto Beldia's head with her eyes glowing red with terrible malicous intent. I could feel her divine hatred as a goddess of water and thus life, feeling utterly repugnant and a gut wretching disgust that was aimed at Beldia's state as an undead.

So I hid a smile and said knowningly as I placed the Dullahan head right in front of Aqua on her table so their eyes were locked on one another as I spoke quietly as the people in the adventurer's guild looked away seeing me and Kunou sitting down casually with Kazuma's party. "So goddess Aqua, knowing of your domains I made sure to get the best deal for you in dealing with the undead Demonking's General. I am calling our debt for Kunou revival paid for in full now agreed?"

Aqua's eyes snapped to mine and she smiled with a bloodthirsty light and she responded quickly. "Yes yes, any debt, karma, or ties are paid in full!" She looked over Kazuma with an evil glint in her eye as she ordered him with zero hesitation. "Kazuma quit being useless and go get the bounty for this demonking general! Once we kill him with my holy divine magic we will get so much money and levels that we will be rich and can just buy a nice house so we don't have to live in the farm outhouses anymore with the horses and cows!"
