Hi everyone,

My next video is a very detailed history of the concept of the proletariat in socialist thought. I planned to release it by the end of March but ran into some unexpected issues when researching and writing that mean I need to delay it until April.

The script is already at over an hour long, making it my biggest video yet. Its very close to completion but whilst writing I realized that I need to cover a lot of economic history in order to provide a context for what the socialist authors I cite meant. This isn't my area of expertise and so I'm having to teach myself a new discipline. I decided it was best to take my time with this, rather than speed run the topic in a few days to meet the end of month deadline. I really don't want to make any basic errors when talking about the industrial revolution and changing class relations.

I'm really excited to release the video as soon as its ready.

This video began as a small section of the other video I'm writing, which is about how Marx became a communist. The meaning of 'the proletariat' in the 19th century turned out to be a much more complex topic than I initially thought and I went down a massive rabbit hole.

Thanks for your support.

I'm glad that you chose to go with better quality instead of rushing it. thank you for what you do!

Love the work. Have you come across Unlearning Economics? I'd be very interested to see you two discussing or researching together.
