Camelot Griffin sketch (Patreon)

Quest for Camelot Griffin doodle (took about one hour)! A character I had been wanting for ages, and that also happens to have been requested a couple times by Spiral :3
I hope to draw a more interesting image of him someday, this is admittedly more of a study than anything else. Surprisingly, the hardest thing for me to get right when drawing him are the colors! If you pickup the exact screenshot colors they are SO DARK, and only look good against a dark background. Which is why I went for a night scene :3

I have absolutely no memories of the movie which I only saw as a kid once, aside from the fact that I felt my heart really going dokidoki when I saw this guy!
I clearly remember wishing he had a better part in the story... It was so common at the time to have absolutely wonderful designs being "wasted" in being silly and/or evil guys. It was so hard for me to root for the good guys lol.

I might miss the overall design style of the 80's/90's compared to what comes out today, but I'm glad over time we can finally get monstrous monsters being the good guys. I feel like the popularity of Pokemon is in part to thank for that.
