Hey everyone,

We hope you had a great week and enjoyed Episode 9. So far the feedback was really good and I am very happy about that. Some things we will do better next time (audio mix) but overall the feedback is very positive.

It does not yet reflect as much as I was hoping in sales, but it sells better than EP8, which did not even cover the production costs. 

But I think EP9 will do better during December (Christmas is always a good season)!

That´s the news from EP9 😊

Treasure Island:

Holy cow, a LOT has been going on! Our new coder is a real Wunderkind. He is fast, he is efficient, he is very orderly, and delivers clean results! I am so happy 🥰

So what have we been up to:

  • We have been creating a stable framework for basic Locomotion (walking, running, sprinting, crouching) - Already implemented
  • We have been creating a stable framework for Weapons (Rifle, Gun, Melee) - Not yet available
  • Tons and tons of backend creations/fixes/adaptations
  • Redoing/creating from scratch of, so far,  80 animations so we have the nice Brittany-Movement-Style. There are still a lot left, but the basic locomotion is covered.
  • Adding a Photomode so you can take nice pictures (like the one in the header) as soon as we have a first playable for you
  • Added Weather/Day-Nighttime changes in the Photomode so you can have all kinds of different scenarios (Day, Night, Aurora, Cloudy, Sunny, Stars, etc. etc.)
  • Starting with NPC/Enemie characters
  • Starting with Quest & Dialouge system

For the very first playable we plan for you:

  • Having a nice start screen with settings for Graphics & Audio and all that
  • Being able to run around, testing the performance, and enjoying the scenery
  • Finishing a simple quest
  • Trying the Photomode
  • Getting excited for more 😊

We work hard (pun intended) on delivering that ASAP. Maybe it´s even possible before Christmas, but I don´t want to promise anything. As soon as the Lead-Coder is back we will wrap up the PoseViewer Update. That is a higher priority and then we can fully focus on the next game.

And for the next game in general we want more Adventure. In one of our team meetings, it came up that people (including me) really liked the adventure part of EP3&4 and that we went too far away from that in later Episodes. EP9 has a bit of that again, but not so much "Tomb Raider/Uncharted" Style. 

So we want more of that again in future productions, especially the next game 😁

What do you have now? Ideally it also runs on older machines. A 1080 should also work fine.

Those pics look great! Btw I had a quick question. For ep. 9, I have it on all max settings and there is a texture flickering issue with the clothing of the characters. Is there any settings I should adjust to possibly resolve it?

Thanks! The flickering seems to be a sequencer update bug in the latest unreal version. I’m afraid there is no fix for it🥺

Are there other bugs I haven’t been able to get back into Ep 9 since first install. I’ve deleted it and redownloaded the file and re unzipped it and now I just get a blank screen. But it worked a few days ago now I just get a black screen

Try downloading it onto a new drive. Hopefully that might work as a fresh install.

Thanks so much for the update! I haven't gotten around to watching EP 9, yet, but will soon! And I really am looking forward to the game, too. I think more adventure is definitely the way to go. Something along the lines of classic Tomb Raider, but with more nudity and "jiggle" physics. 😁 Maybe you could throw in a swan dive animation, too? Lol.

Diving animations are actually on our to-do list as well 😁And definitely more jiggle physics 😉

I tried deleting this folder no change unfortunately . I only have one drive :( Also it’s almost time for my annual fresh windows install that may fix it

No that can´t be the solution. If it's not the temp folder, it´s a firewall setting. I am sure something is blocking it.

Cool! Also, how about an ass slapping animation? Eh? I think maybe when she's standing idle, Brittany can slap her own butt and prompt the player to get on with it. Lol.

We will have a couple of different Idle-Animations at a later point. At the moment she is just breathing so she does not look dead ;)

In pose view it seems there is something common between all the characters. That the strap ons are mapped like the dick would be on brit and trin. It would be a great addition if all the characters could cycle. Penis, (balls/noballs) Strap-on(maybe balls no balls on these also?), or full female. Just as other custom options for pose view in the future

Well each game/episode always delivers more so thank you for the response! I was looking back through the screen shots the island is impressive it’s nice to see how the progress is coming. The water looks absolutely phenomenal I hope we have some fun ways to interact with the surf!

The setting in episode 9 is great, the lighting and everything really is great in 4k. Awesome showcase of how future projects will evolve beyond the way things have since early content

Oh yes, I also love the water solution we have. At least for nice looking shore. For other stuff it´s not so good, but we only have a shore now anyway 😁
