What is the Laguna Bonus Scene?

It's a scene being injected into Issue 2 after page 57 - the last moment with Abe and Basil on the pier.

The purpose of the scene is to demystify Laguna's character and give us a little more insight into him before Issue 3.

These pages might be familiar to you! It's a redo of an earlier scene with Laguna waking up. What I've done is move the establishing shot of Laguna's apartment backwards and give it its own page (which I redid to suit the realestate.) This way the scene where Basil and Abe are kissing romantically on the beach won't be side-by-side with Laguna crotch / armpit on the same page spread.

I took this time to redraw Laguna waking up and stretching and add Carolina knocking on the door to wake him up. This sets up a parallel between Carolina and a new character we're about to introduce called Nile -- where he wakes Laguna up much more aggressively to demonstrate the difference between Carolina and Nile.

I also touched up pages 3-5 with a redraw or two / dialogue tweak.
