Unsettling things (Patreon)

In light of recent goings on, I’ve elected to stay on Patreon as long as possible. But there will be some small changes which will be done to safeguard my intellectual properties. My characters for instance, as well as protecting my patrons original characters also. For those of you who have no clue what I’m speaking about, it has more to do with Patreon’s new terms of service, and with the news that many artists are leaving due to Patreon attempting to wrest control over their name and original content as their own.

While it may come off as a social media scare, the artists that did leave are some cause for concern. I’m holding onto little faith for this platform, they continually move the goal post on what is appropriate and what is not allowed for their site. Time and time again they’ve been pushing NSFW creators out, first with making content private, making no mention of anything lewd on your profile. To banning creators for drawing “eastern styles” or “anything appearing underage”. Now I hear they are actively searching for inappropriate content on other websites that we freely use just to deplatform us.

In light of these reports, whether they are accurate or not, I can’t take any chances. Starting today, I will remove any artwork containing any original characters (any I own & any my patrons own & fanart), I suppose r34 of existing characters (ie: Rouge the Bat, Midna etc...) will remain here for the time being. This is to protect my intellectual properties and yours. Last thing I want to see is Patreon trying to gain control over what we own.

Eventually I will make a transition to a new platform in the future. But for now I need to ask of you of only a few things:

Please if you have access to discord, connect your account with Patreon. I will make posts available to tier members through there to each respective tier. If you don’t have discord or have no intention to use one, please gain access to one. For anyone already on my discord server, you do not need to take anymore steps.

I feel it would be unfair to simply drop what I’m doing and leave to a new platform right away, considering that many of you are already accustomed to the site and would be quite a shock to see this gone all of a sudden, a slower transition makes more sense to get us all acclimated.
