Important: Changing your Pledge amount (Patreon)

Sorry for all the updates but Patreon can be quite confusing at times.

After downgrading my Patreon plan to Lite (see the previous post) I found something interesting in the Patreon Support forum. The downgrade process was quite confusing but I hope to have figured it out now. Please read this carefully before making any changes:

You can now change the amount you want to pledge. BUT you will be charged up-front for the current month if you haven't already made a payment.

So, if you change your pledge today (August 31st), you may get charged that amount TWICE (once for August and then the very next day for September). Unless you're planing to decrease your pledge to the minimum (1 EUR / 1 USD) I DO NOT recommend doing so.

If you do not change your pledge today, you will simply be charged with my default pledge amount (formerly known as the Amazing Supporter Level) on September 1st. After your September payment is processed, you can change the amount you want to pay for October and the following months. You will not get back the money for September, but at least you won't be charged up-front anymore (since you've already paid for that month).

Please note that I do not mind if you decrease your payment. I'm actually happy with this payment model and think everyone should decide for themselves how much they want to pledge.
