Do I understand that correctly, that the only advantage for us supporters over visitors of a freely accessible website where you report on developments is a good feeling? I really don't understand why you just can't provide us with anything more then nothing. Still cheering for you guys but you can do better.

You have access to 1.X builds and the 2.X tech alpha as mentioned above. That is only available to backers. We can't do any more 2.X releases until it is further along in development.

I love Ren's work and his contribution to the scene is immense, but I would feel remiss not mentioning SplineVR's skin work. It's leaps and bounds better than anything else on the hub in terms of realism and really brings models to life. Can't wait to see where this all takes us, keep up the great work!

Yes there are other amazing skin texture creators out there. The good news is 2.X will also have a way for texture sets to be created by community members that will load just as fast as the built-in texture sets. We will have more details in the future.

Would love to know how to convert my Genesis characters into Atoms.

This should be possible as long as it is Genesis 3 or 8. We are not supporting the type of skinning system used with Genesis 2. We will provide documentation and tutorials on how to make custom character Atoms in the future. We will also support the type of customization 1.X has now using clothing, morphs, and hair using the built-in character atoms. 2.X will go beyond this in allowing you to make new character atoms using custom grafted Genesis characters or even characters outside of the Daz3d ecosystem.

Cool. Genesis 8 or 3 is all anyone really uses anymore. Is there any examples of the conversion process? Or will it be documentation provided later? Thanks.

Custom models will be an extension of the custom atom system I described. Custom atoms (environments, props, etc.) will be released 1st and we will include both documentation and tutorial videos. Custom model atoms will be released later and will also include documentation and tutorial videos. Both of these custom atom features will require the use of Unity (free) and some free Unity addon content we will supply. This gives creators the same power we have internally for making atoms.

You've probably answers this before but ... things I wish VAM did that I'm hoping are planning for 2.x * ability to have actual futanari (penis + vagina) vs what we have now which is just shemales * breasts physics on futanari. As it is, using men to make shemales the breasts have no physics and/or no collisions. * more options. Would love to make non-human characters, aliens, etc that interact correctly. Tentacles, multiple genitals, etc. I don't know that ability already exists and no one has done it but my impression is the system is designed for humans (or bipeds) and nothing else. * some better targeting / aiming. 9 out of 10 times I change a character the genitals no longer align. They're only off by 1-3 inches but it's enough that things no longer enter what they were intended to enter. It would really be nice if there was some solution for this * 1000x better UX for VR :P I really don't know what would work best but minor frustrations: * all these animation nodes that AFAIK have no point in being selectable getting in the way of grabbing character nodes. * better UX for morphs - instead of having to hunt through 800+ morphs how about I touch a body part and morphs that affect that part appear? * I'm sure there's way more to do and I know all of it is lots of work, just hoping :P Anyway, love all your work!

Everything you listed is planned for improvement in 2.X. 2.X will support custom models. All models should have equal soft-body skin physics this time. For model gender combinations we don't include, we will provide the same tools we use to make person atoms to the community so custom ones can be made with custom grafts, and they will support soft-body physics. Creating these models will be considerable work, but it will be possible.

Have you been on the VAM forums? There are a large number of models to download, and people will happily talk you through how to create and add more. Hope this helps

Or including your backers in small design/development decisions? A\B test ideas, share thoughts and release feature polls etc. Right now it feels like you’re designing and developing in a vacuum. Engage your passionate community. Use people here to your advantage!

When will a working beta be available? Can we port scenes/assets from VAM1?
