We spent the last week and a half enhancing, testing, polishing, and generally making the new features more user friendly so the initial quality should be high instead of feeling like alpha/beta features.
Here is what has been worked on since the last post:
- Expanded presets system for Person atom to allow fine-grained presets per category. The new category presets are: General, Skin, Clothing, Hair, Morphs, Breast Physics, Glute Physics. Now it is easy to mix-and-match you favorites of each category.
- Added favorites to presets system. Favorites can be quickly selected by a UI popup. A full directory browse was added to allow browsing all the presets.
- Most existing clothing items updated to support new presets system and custom texturing. Many items have updated to use the standard clothing shader to allow more options.
- Clothing now supports decal textures!
- Clothing sim now has "nearby joints" which fixes items that were designed with disjoint pieces. This allows those pieces to stick together.
- Control of anatomy disable per clothing item. This allows setting custom transparency on clothing and be able to see the genitals. In addition, instead of a hole in the mesh, a smooth gender-less section of mesh is shown when anatomy is disabled and clothing does not cover.
- Added ability to control if custom clothing wraps to grafts (genitals). You could theoretically design clothing items that fit over the male genitals (condom, etc.)
- Added ability to control if custom clothing wraps to morphed vertices instead of base vertices to allow creating clothing that better fits extreme morphs (clothing mesh must be designed to match the morphed mesh for this to work properly).
- Male clothing items that had distortion in groin area have all been re-wrapped using new ability to wrap to the hidden base vertices for a much better look. In addition, male genital bulge morphs now work properly.
- Official male->female morph added to male morphs.
What is left:
- Final testing and bug fixes
- More memory usage fixes
- Complete remaining clothing item work to support new presets and custom texture system
The hope is to have 1.17 out within the next few days. Thanks for your patience and support!
