I have spent some time improving the installer and patcher program, so this release utilizes that. If the patch process fails in any way, it falls back and attempts an auto-repair option. I have also switched to a different CDN to distribute the software which seems to have a bit better performance and reliability. This patch will be a further test of that to see if that is true worldwide or not. Please let me know if you have trouble with patching process. I have also added better debugging to the log files in case there are issues. This patch is fairly small at around 150MB.

I'll now be moving on to 1.14 release work. Plans for 1.14 are morph compiler and other new morph compositing and packaging features. I'll also be spending a lot of time on the clothing sim feature, and if all goes well I'll be adding an early demo of this to the release. Probably a skirt of some kind which would benefit the most from simulation.

Instructions:

You must have 1.13.0.1 installed first before patching or it will attempt a full download of 1.13.0.2 which is 10+GB. Extract the contents of this zip file into the directory where VaM is installed. VaM_Updater.exe should sit next to VaM.exe if done correctly. Then run VaM_Updater.exe begin the patch process. It will download the patch and attempt to apply it.

Download zip: 1.13.0.2 Updater

Release Notes:

Tweaks:

Plugins: Added more Unity dll references to the Visual Studio plugin project

Plugins: Made SuperControler GetSaveJSON function public as requested

Texture import: mass import now tries to normalize paths so they can be more readable in UI

Texture import: No longer forces re-import if url did not change unless action is provoked by user through UI

File browser thumbnail processing now halts when browser is hidden to prevent fps glitching

FloatParamRandomizer plugin example improved – added handling for late-loading receivers like skin, clothing, hair

Content:

Added new world UI plugin example. Simple HUD that displays currently selected atom

Bug Fixes:

Plugins: fixed to allow more Unity reference dlls

Fixed issue with new clothing in 1.13 having incorrect IDs for style and materials. Not that scenes created with these will be broken until fixed and resaved. Save files can be manually fixed by replacing all occurrences of (Clone) in the save json: https://trello.com/c/a7HqhS9w

Fixed genital textures dark/light spots issue

Fixed glow not showing up in screenshot and WindowCamera cameras

Control: fixed several bugs with JSON and function calls being crossed for spring/damper/drive settings

I dont see nor remember a version 1.13.01? Is that just the default 1.13 release?

meshedvr

Yeah 1.13.0.0 was a dud so 1.13.0.1 was what was released on the 22nd.

Worked like a charm for me!

Is it maybe possible to make a strap on for the girls? Maybe as a cloth part?

Anonymous

When i run the patch file. It did shutdown right away. After removing this file MHLab.PATCH.dll in the folder it did run the patch.

I used to have problems with the patcher, so just wanted to let you know that this time it worked flawlessly. Excited for the skirts :)

Would it be possible to convert head colliders to autocolliders for verson 1.14 pretty please?

meshedvr

I'll look at it and try. I have to be a bit careful with these or they could cause some issues with inner-mouth collision.

AK420

Worked great for me, thank you! :)

eclypse

Yeah no issues over here but i'll admit I backed that 1.12 folder up first! heh.

I want to sponsor it, but I want to wait until the latest version comes out.

I'm having trouble changing the hair and clothing colors and I'm not sure if I'm using the right menu. Just hit the customize button under the hair select, right? No matter where I put the color picker, nothing seems to change. Sorry, I'm a dum dum.

Why did my paypal payment fail? My account is funded

meshedvr

You might be on the 1st material tab, which changes scalp color for hair. Color change is all in the panel that comes up with Customize button so that part is right.

Is there an error log for the updater? Mine just crashes with something about an 'unhandled exception', but it's gone too quickly for me to note down the details.

Always a fall back to video the screen as this or anything else anywhere ever happens. It's worked for me since Windows 97.

Any clue as to why VAM suddenly opens 180 degrees off? It opens with me looking into an empty scene, and I have to rotate 180 degrees to see the model (and guess when she's actually loaded behind me).

DJ

With Vive, anyway, VAM opens assuming you are facing the front of your room as defined in room setup. Has that changed? In any case, you should be able to position yourself correctly, then re-save over the default.json scene, and it will open correctly in future.

Anonymous

I found that when you do your room setup, steam vr will turn the green play area without regard for the earlier step where you locate your monitor from the center of the room. When it shows you the green box there should be an option to rotate it so that the arrow inside points forward.

ZULEYKA GAMES

Worked perfectly for me, thanks! I'm impressed :)

Cool ;-)

Have you added or will you add the option to allow import of normal 3d models? I don't mind it not having softbody physics or anything.

Anonymous

Since this releasse my VaM opens with steamvr and virtamate thinks im using the vive.. Im using an oculus so all my controls are fucked up?

Anonymous

can i have a working key pls :)

DJ

Scroll down. Posts containing the keys are farther down on this page.

This game would be great if we could edit existing scenes more easily. To make more tailored content.

I have a problem since last patch - when I bring up the menu I see some visual artifacts that effect the menu text - it's like there are invisible objects between me and the menu such that moving my head left to right alters which parts of the menu text gets distorted. A bit like there are invisible globes between me and the menu and moving my head alters my perspective of them - hard to explain - but only began with last patch and only when menu is opened. When menu is closed these not seem to be present - it doesn't matter what quality setting I use etc Doesn't happen in any other application only VAM and since patch.
