Simplified Patreon distinction:

 * free - limited content
 * $2 - all content (characters, objects, morphs, clothing)
 * $4 - all content + ability to load community created scenes + bonus scenes
 * $8 - all content + ability to create new scenes and animations

System updates:
 * Unity version update
 * SteamVR version update
 * OVR utils update

New Content/Objects:
 * 6 new built-in scenes, most featuring motion-captured animations
 * $4/$8 - 3 bonus scenes
 * male character enabled!
 * Added 1 new toy object to play with! Many thanks to Patron MagillaGorilla for providing this model! More coming in next release!
 * 20 new morphs for female character
 * clothing - new underwear set
 * hair - 2 new female hair options - bald and ponytail

New Features:
 * $4 add ability to load community created scenes (was already in $8)
 * $8 Motion Animator
    * Using new Animation menu on the main HUD, you can animate controllers using your head and/or controllers and record the motion. The motions will save with the scene.
    * Added arm mode for selecting which controllers will be recorded.
    * Added layered recording. Record whole scene animation by using several passes, a joint or two at a time. Further passes can auto-stop record at end of timeline to avoid overrun of layered capture.
    * Added loop mode
    * Added Start/Stop trim feature for cutting out captured motions
 * added new GrabPoint object - this object can make a joint to another object to allow remote grabbing
    * example - put a GrabPoint on each hip of a character and attach the GrabPoint to the pelvis joint. Now there are 3 points you can grab the pelvis from instead of just the interior one
       * this is most useful when possessing a 2nd character and you cannot grab the internal point easily due to hand colliders getting in the way
       * Will also be useful for real-life "accessories" where you want to attach the controller to a specific point not directly on the joint
 * added head collider - allows interaction with head and prevents some of the clip through - toggleable in User Preferences "Other Prefs" tab
 * create new default scene and make it embedded scene object so file does not need to be included as side file
 * added save/load preset for characters for all backer levels - can save poses and appearance in single file
 * added possess mode - when possess mode is enabled and head or controllers move into position of possess-enabled targets - these controls will 'jump' to the controller and auto-link to them.
    * Possess mode will extend to support Vive trackers in future release for up to 6 point possession
 * added atom icons to make it easier to find objects in the scene
 * added full save/load preset buttons to save pose and appearance at same time
 * benchmark scenes added - just launch with "CPU Benchmark", "GPU Benchmark", or "Baseline Benchmark" shortcut

Tweaks:
 * adjusted quality levels to not be as high of requirements for High and Ultra
 * when adding new objects, they now default to having collision on - was able to enable this by adjusting max rigidbody velocities
 * adjusted max rigidbody depenetration velocity to prevent major physics glitching when turning on something that is deeply overlapping another object.
 * improved initialization of soft vertices and auto colliders so character is more stable on enable
 * store soft vertices adjustments correctly in save json
 * genital area soft body physics adjustments to reduce clipping and other artifacts
 * Joint tuning:
    * tweaked jaw joint to not rotate laterally when head is turned at limit to prevent odd looking result
    * tweaked neck joint to be less stiff by default and head joint to be more stiff by default - makes neck bend a little more when manipulating head
    * fix hand bend and other deformations of hands that look unnatural
    * doubled off-axis finger joint strenght to minimize side wobble
    * tuned leg joints for more natural low-resistance movement - doubled joint hold spring but lowered max force to give a more consistent resitance across entire range of movement
 * changed animation pattern to also save substeps in preset save
 * disabled thumbsticks for UI control (slider, popups)
 * disabled Vive thumbpad UI manipulation
 * disabled joint name popups when UI is hidden and that option is enabled
 * added option to hide motion controller balls when UI is hidden
 * main window screen now has more clear message about putting VR headset on
 * after pushing start, the button and other UI elements will disappear so it is more obvious it worked. model will fade out as main scene then loads

Bug fixes:
 * fixed launch from Oculus home causing issues (seems like Unity and OVR version update has addressed this)
 * fixed skin materials not restoring properly in some cases
 * fixed exploding character when character is disabled, moved, and the re-enabled - large change in positions without pausing the simulations was causing this
 * fixed not being able to add animation steps after linking
 * fixed select object from scene issues
 * fixed atom selection popups not updating correctly when loading scene or using select from scene button
 * fixed dust/halo options for light not saving in scene file
 * fixed on load - objects that linked to other atoms in some way were not showing linkage correctly in UI
 * fixed missing laser pointers on start screen
 * fixed keyfile issue with keys entered with lowercase letter
 * fixed colliders on RelectiveSlate and ReflectiveWoodPanel
 * fixed Glute Mass paramter not hooked correctlyup in play mode UI

Performance improvements (roughly 10% improvement CPU and 5% improvement GPU over release 1.0):
 * GPU - Shadow system - optimized shader code a bit more
 * CPU - enabled threading on mesh merger
 * CPU - additional skin optimization to avoid extra memory copy of vertex arrays

Holy shit, this version contains so many improvements and new features! Thank you for your hard work.

Anonymous

Perhaps you deserve a small break now!

Anonymous

Yayyyy ! Can't wait to get home and try this stuff out.

Anonymous

has anyone with a HTC Vive been able to get it to work?

Anonymous

Max, I cant imagine using this on anything but the htc vive. Did you DL 1.1?

Anonymous

andrew, of course! 1.0 works fine, but 1.1 just doesn't want to :(( EDIT: i spoke too soon , seems 1.0 now doesnt work either - in 1.0 the controller beams are not even showing up which would allow you to switch content level and press READY. Only the red/blue spheres show up but no beams.. :( no idea what is wrong

Hello! Where can we download community made scenes?

Anonymous

there are some scenes people posted under the Community section in this Patreon.

This version is awesome! Thank you so much!

Corbags

This is awesome! I feel like I could spend days playing around with the options. A few questions: 1. When I launch the benchmark shortcut, it only runs in a desktop window. I put on the VR headset and I only get Oculus Home. I tried starting the VaM.exe file then running the shortcut, but I only succeeded in getting two instances of the game to run. Anyway, I don't know if the FPS it's registering is the FPS I'd get in VR, or if it's running better because it's just a desktop window. Let me know

Corbags

Sorry, second question: does anyone have a bit of a tutorial on how to use the animation features, also, how to link an object (like a grabpoint) to an existing joint? Thanks!

Gurn

"My God, it's full of stars..!" I'm only a bit frustrated with the camera controls. Is it possible to rotate and move the actual HMD viewport (i.e. your position, not the models) without using the clunky teleport? I can't ever get the rotation correct on the teleport.

Corbags

Sorry, one other thing, is there a way to take a screenshot? Not hugely important, but I encountered a funny (i.e. nightmarish) bug when I gave the woman a ponytail in the cowgirl scene. Thought you guys would get a kick out of it

Corbags

There is a way to move the camera using the joysticks. I believe right joy is up/down and yaw left/right while left joy is right/left forward/back. Not as good as the "grab and move the whole universe" method, but I rely on it more than the teleport option.

$8 one off payment, seems fair if supported and updated for an adult game, $8 a month...no way!

Anonymous

Seems like a scene-making contest is worth doing soon!

Anonymous

Any alternative link? Mega's becoming kind of a problem, stopped the download at 99% and prompted unlimited bandwidth at 40% on the second attempt. It's kind of annoying.

Corbags

I figured this one out after some tinkering, sometimes the grabpoints don't stay attached the the joint though.

Anonymous

Nobody is forcing you to pay $8. You can pay $2/month and still get a lot of stuff. Most of the patrons pay because they want to show their gratitude to a creator. Also you can cancel payments anytime.

The benchmark scenes are standalone and not in VR. I may add a VR benchmark scene in future release (probably baseline-VR). The problem with VR benchmark is FPS will always be capped at 90fps max. With standalone it can go beyond 90fps so you can see how much headroom you have. I use these to monitor degradations/improvements in the releases. I thought it would be useful to share so people could post their numbers. I did find that these are broken on Vive for some reason and causes a spinning camera issue.

meshedvr

Let me guess - it is coming out of her mouth? I need to fix the ponytail physics initialization to prevent it from spawning in a weird location! For screenshot - it is a pain, but you can turn on mirror (in user prefs), and then go to your computer and take a screenshot using standard method in windows (I use Snipping Tool available in windows system).

meshedvr

I'll see what I can do. I do have AWS account, but they charge quite a bit for transfer. :(

Anonymous

Amazing work sir. recording all those different bodyparts is really an amazing tool. And posses is also really cool! dont know if it allready was in the last build but i just discoverd it and its freaky man! :) in a good way :D

meshedvr

Possess is a new feature! I find it fun as well. I don't laugh much during development, but this is one thing that made me giggle like a little kid right after I implemented it. My favorite is dancing in front of a mirror (disable all joints except head, hands and feet)!

Can you make the models talk be awesome

meshedvr

Would be awesome, but this is a hard problem to make it realistic. I do have some face morphs and a few have advised me on some tech that might help with this. I will be looking into this, but it is pretty far out in the schedule!

CRlowKeY

Is there anyway to control the speed of the animation like there was for the window pose? Want to see some more jiggle and motions, and be nice to add some type of anchor point for penis/insertion zone as sometimes models tend to get off the male and be nice if the preset only change the model itself and not the pose/animation.

meshedvr

Currently you can only control motion animation speed by adjusting the time scale. I'll see about adding option to control playback speed but without the physics time dilation. For 1.2 I will add penis control so you can grab and move around. Some of the morphs actually change the bone setup (like height), which can really mess up the animations. I don't have an easy fix for this unfortunately.

Corbags

Sorry, I just ran into another bug. Not sure what I've changed since I last ran the application, but now I can't hit the "ready" button at the splash screen. Touch controller bubbles are there, and the little laser pointers show up, but no matter what, I can't highlight and select the "ready" button to start the game or selecting the "content" radio buttons. I've since tried deleting the folder and unzipping the original download again (reinstalling, essentially) I've tried moving drives, I've tried repairing my registry and rebooting. Nothing will let me start the game. Help!

meshedvr

Can you try the following? Double-click VaM.exe and immediately hit Ctrl key. This should bring up a Unity dialog box. Set things to 1024x768, checked Windowed, set quality to "SetInGame", and Select monitor as Display 1. Hit Play. Does it work now? I'm having a really hard time tracking down why this is happening to some people. Another user, Max, had success by removing MeshedVR folder in the registry (I didn't even know Unity put stuff in registry this way, but everything in there is related to settings dialog).

Anonymous

Sounds similar to the problem i had in 1.0. Fixed by deleting the reg entry.

Anonymous

is there an easy way to be in POV?

Anonymous

Hi Meshed! Absolutely amazing work, can spend hours recording animations - very fun. I saw some comments complaining about pricing etc. Please don't be disheartened by these people, you gave them options and I think they're very fair! Do you have a road-map or any rough details about upcoming changes/features? I'd love to get excited about some upcoming changes!

Anonymous

Try the posses function, it isn't gonna get better then that. I works amazing!

meshedvr

Thank you! I'm looking a using trello for this so the community can see what I'm planning and get and idea of longer term plans. That said my plans are quite fluid. I try to react what community is asking for while keeping an eye on my long term vision. So when I do put up the Trello, things are going to be constantly moving around in priority. And some complex problems might take longer than what I imagine.

Anonymous

Just finally got the try this out and it is amazing took me awhile to get used to the controls is it possible you can add more content like clothes shoes and maybe some way to customize faces to make them look a little older or like faces of people you know kind of like the Sims keep up the good work Buddy

Anonymous

When you have this full and complete I definitely will pay top dollar for it no complaints here with the pricing

Anonymous

>customize faces to make them look a little older OR a little younger

Anonymous

Sweet! can't wait to try this out! :D

Anonymous

Is there a way to insert more people to scenes? The add menu only has objects. Also, if you make liquids, it would bring it to the next level. Imagine her dripping lol

meshedvr

Limited to 2 people for this release due to performance reasons. Maybe when I get some of the updates Unity has promised we will be able to move up to 3.

Anonymous

It would be better to be able to move the viewpoint freely

meshedvr

Yes this is planned for 1.2. See the development card for it here: <a href="https://trello.com/c/VfRMJ200" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://trello.com/c/VfRMJ200</a>

I'm having trouble getting past the opening virt-a-mate screen. The "ententainer" content button is check, but I can't seem to trigger the "ready" button. I'm using Vive, and the controllers are showing up with the laser pointers, but clicking buttons doesn't do anything. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

meshedvr

Please use the following workaround until I can make a permanent fix. Double click VaM.exe and immediately hold control button. This will bring up config menu. Hit play. It should work now. You should only have to do this once

Chilla

Omg, I absolutely love this! As a lover of female possession this is like a dream come true! Thank you so much!<br>

oh man you are a boss, if you make a sync with Fleshlight Launch, the Boss of the Boss you are. (in french: J'adore, Je Kiff.)
