This was supposed to be a simple video to make.
I've prepared a VirtualBox installation and downloaded the latest AV Linux ISO I found. It was  an MX variant.

Unfortunately it seemed I was unable to get some plug-ins to be detected there. So I had to stop and prepare a different approach.

Here's the raw footage of the failed attempt. I still do explain a lot of stuff, so if you don't mind playing this in the background and occasionally checking out what's on the screen - it may be worth a try.

Better luck next time!

How NOT to install audio plug-ins on Linux

That's take one. I'll figure this out...

Going to be super pedantic here: I think it should go in /usr/local/lib. But probably ardour doesn't look there out of the box…

I feel your pain Unfa, lol! Maybe a quick tl;dr up front of the vid saying: install lv2 plugin's by putting their directory into /usr/lib/lv2, then rescanning in Ardour with edit->preferences->plugins->scan for plugins? This would have been enough for me, and maybe others. A question though, manually installing like this, you then need to manually update everything right? That could be painful.
