I was asked to master a track. In this video you'll see how I did that.
Here's the final release: https://youtu.be/p-CHTSHggVU
I also talk about some ideas that I consider important in mastering regarding using various types of processing and also - how loud I like to make my masters and why.
I don't think I've shown my absolute best, I guess another video about mastering is due - this time about mastering an album or an EP. I can't say when or what just yet, but it's on my TODO list.
PS: I've learned a lot from an excellent podcast called "The Mastering Show". It was created by a mastering engineer named Ian Shepherd. If you want to dig deeper into this topic, I guess you'd be well served there: http://themasteringshow.com/ - if you decide it's for you - I'd recommend to start from the 1st episode, as it very nicely builds up.
Anyway - enjoy the video, and I hope to see you around soon!
