Some infos & changes to commission pricing (Patreon)

Short Overview

• I’m going pro – quitting my day job --> doing these comics for real now!
• Ordered a new PC – Hopefully better renders soon!
• Commission pricing adapted – phone format available for commission
• Wheel of Control Cancelled – Afficionado comic will be voted from the month’s pool of stories.

Going Pro!

Having increased my comic page output several times over the past year I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I can not keep this up while working for my day job, so I quit – my day-job that is! I’m going to make this comic business my main/only income. Not sure if and how much more I can create when my day job finally is over, but I definitely increase the guaranteed number of Side Stories for Con-Tier to three (So, 4 side stories each month with the Afficionado Story). (Note that this is something I’ve been keeping up for the past few months already, so you probably won’t notice much of a difference. But now this amount is guaranteed!)

New PC!

I’ve finally ordered a new PC with an expensive graphic card. Again, not sure how this will influence my productivity but I’m sure at least the quality of the renders will increase and get more consistent on the good side. (Currently I do have quite the troubles with Scenes where too many people/objects are visible because Memory just blows up). Also render time should be faster with the new rig 😊

Commission Pricing

I’ve currently gotten a lot of requests for commissions. So, many in fact that I’d be completely booked until September… Also, I do think the quality of my comics has improved with time and to cut to the chase, it’s time to increase my commission prices. The new prices are:

• 11€ / script page (10€ for Connoisseur Tier Members)
• Connoisseur Tier is no longer included in a Commission
• Platform & Banking Fees are applied to the price (6% Paypal)
• Minimum order quantity: 15 script pages
• Maximum order quantity: 45 script pages

You can now also commission comics in the "Phone Format" 720x1280

• 7.5€ / script page (6.7€ for Connoisseur Tier Members)
• Minimum order quantity: 20 script pages
• Maximum order quantity: 60 script pages
• Everything else is like standard commissions

Terms to the commissions have not really changed, but I did rewrite the Commission Description Page and tried explaining it in a better way :). You can find that one here.

The new prices are in effect as of August.

Monthly Side Story

The Monthly Side Story's original idea was to teaser commissions and fill slots since I did not have that many commissions. As written above I’ve currently got a lot of Commission requests, so many in fact that I can’t even continue my original stories. I will see how the situation develops in the future but for now the “Wheel of Control” is cancelled.

Note that this does not mean that the Afficionado Story is cancelled. Afficionado Tier will still get one side comic each month! My plan is to have a poll at the start of each month where all Afficionados can vote for one of the four stories that will be created that month. And the winning story will be unlocked for Afficionado Tier.
