News on the VN: (Patreon)

Hey guys. 

It's time for an update on how things are with the VN...

Still going at it. I've become a bit more meticulous with the end result of renders. Adding all extra details and re-rendering a lot.

Even the previews I've given before have changed a bit, like the one with Hiroki here, it felt like it was missing a lot if I didn't show his peen which wasn't part of the plan because I hadn't finished his genitals before so I had to finish sculpt>paint>texture and did it again. Kinda pleased with the result. I've received feedback about foreskin --mainly > people like them. I like them too, but they're very tricky to make especially if you want to animate pulling the foreskin backwards because you get a lot of clippings with the head. I've since figured it out by making additional shapekeys in between to fix those clippings which work well enough. (And the one I made for David in the previous parts of the VN were rushed and looked bad, I'm now slowly remaking these for characters that have their PP visible in the next update.)

 Small 3d graphics tip: In this render, I also realized droplets need motion blur ---if you've done 3d animation before and felt your animation seem weightless/very fast, apart from correct speed/timing, motion blur is what makes the movements heavy and impactful. It's the secret sauce. Even in stills, it removes the plasticness of cgi. 

The other pic is for another 'explorable' area. The hall - which you've seen in the previous update. I didn't include a video because there are a lot of moving things in this area that I've excluded that you will want to click and explore and I don't want to give them away.. - spoiler: there's a sort of a clue-hunting minigame that spans the entire update beginning in this area that you must be able to find and click on, or it could be completely missed. It will start a side quest parallel to the main story and culminates right before the update ends and involves a series of clues and hidden messages that you'll have to figure out to follow.

It contains more animation practice. This time with the intent of putting it in the game instead of a completely unrelated bonus content so that I'm still making progress on the VN while doing bonuses- it's still a bonus content and I'm finishing it for Silver and Gold patrons to be posted later but this time, I'm intending on reusing the animations/expressions for the VN in one particular scene. Right now, the part where this is going is just still images of key moments. It will be replaced later with the animation once its finished. The previous animation I made and promised to give out (With Aaron and Matt) got corrupted and I'll have to redo that from scratch at a later date.

As always, keep the links to the google drive folders(see previous posts) so you'll have access to upcoming bonuses even when you've unsubsribed as I'm feeling like I might not be able to deliver them on time. This month will be focused on delivering this update and not so much the bonus content. I've had a very unproductive time Decemeber-January and I need to make up for lost time.
