It's been awhile since the last update on the visual novel, so what's the hold up on the finale? Short version: the finale required a boatload more art assets than any other update so far. Long version: read on!

Let's start what we've got completed since the last update.

-The GUI interface has been updated visually. Switch is no longer available to talk to at random, as that was kind of a half-assed idea in the end, and I decided to instead focus on her main story itself, which has been almost completely reworked. Switch now has a lot more to say when you complete enough story missions, and it now ties together towards the finale much more cohesively than it was before.

A handful of backgrounds (such as the one above) have been touched up by Siren Sleeps from my janky originals.

A CG gallery is being implemented to view scenes outside of the story. (Still waiting on final art assets before we can call this one technically "complete.")

The entire script is now complete. (!)

There are a metric fuckton of unique comic panels to discover in the finale. I measured. It is a complete fuckton. They're done, but they're a big part of why this update has taken so long.

So what's left to do?

Polish the script.  I only really started researching this whole "comma placement" thing in the last year or so. The script will need to be combed for spelling and grammar errors to the best of my ability.

Kal needs to program the final build, and place the music for the ending scenes.

I need to go through and refine the older comic panels and character models. Don't worry, I'm not going to trap myself in the cycle of forever remaking the old artwork. I've just been working on this thing for four years, the assets from year one could use some touching up.

Once we release the alpha build of the finale, the real endgame will begin, and we'll go through our final pass of addressing feedback and testing bugs. When the game is completed for real, it will be available to supporters here on the one dollar tier for a limited time before we release it on Steam. Once we're confident all existing supporters have had a chance to grab it, we'll bump game access up to a higher tier to match its price on the marketplace.

As of now, we're hoping to have the alpha build of the ending released by the end of summer. I'll keep you posted as to our progress if we run into any snags, and if you have any questions, please ask away!

Only a fuckton? Those are rookie numbers in this racket, you gotta pump it up. Ravager, by 4MinuteWarning, has a mighty fuckload (10 metric fucktons, or 4.2069 fucktons avoirdupois) of content to add in its forthcoming Act 5. In all seriousness, looking forward to what I assume will be some kind of confrontation between Switch and Halver. Keep up the good work! 👍

I really like Switch's random comments on things; I hope they're mostly reintegrated into the railroaded dialog rather than just being cut (or you change your mind and leave them in)
