Despite the occasions where I've portrayed Parker as gullible and naive, I never intended for her to be "dumb." More like she suffers from an affliction I myself have always had: she's simply slow on the uptake. There are times when I've lived out the type of gags you see on TV, where someone gets a passive aggressive insult at a dinner party and doesn't notice, only to yell "Hey! Wait a minute!" on the drive home hours later. So she gets that from me.
