Little late for Halloween with this idea I suppose. At first I was going to remake a 2015 pic I did of Daphne from Scooby Doo, (and I still might at some point) but at the last second decided it might be more fun to swap her out for Velma instead. One of my idols is a French artist named Joel Jurion, and that guy draws Velma a lot. Figured I should give her a proper shot in my style. 

Here's a question I'd like to pose to you all: how did I get it in my head that Velma had a chubby/voluptuous body type? It wasn't until I went looking to Google for color palettes that I realized I couldn't find a single version of her that was thicc. Contrary to how I remember the original show, she actually had the same Barbie doll figure as Daphne, just with a shorter frame and baggy clothes. Did curvy Velma only exist in my head? Oh well, accurate or not I enjoy drawing some chubby nerds lol.
