Hey everyone! Recently I've received a few messages pertaining to my recent art and reward packages. Some positive, some others not so much. I wanted to address some issues that have been occurring and hopefully answer some questions or concerns anyone may have regarding my artwork. Firstly, I will say that in recent months I have struggled immensely with myself, emotionally and artistically, two things that go hand and hand for me. I also felt that my technical level was not where I wanted it to be, and despite putting forth so much effort to try and better myself, nothing was clicking. This is an incredibly frustrating feeling and it was nearly immobilizing. Dealing with this and receiving negative, entitled comments and messages (across multiple platforms, tumblr specifically) is really upsetting. I received a message not too long ago telling me, "nobody cares about your 'art' stick to what you're good at and draw dicks", now that's paraphrased but the message behind the statement rings clear. The previous message really hit me hard, as it came at a time that I had suspected many people shared 'Anonymous's' sentiment, which don't get me wrong, if you enjoy my work because you like dicks that's awesome because I love drawing them, but I need to come clean to you then. I cannot promise that every picture I draw will have a massive cock or a puffy-gaping butthole leaking fluids, or in some cases both. But I can promise you that I will pursue quality and eroticism in every picture. On the subject of Storms, I am prepping it still, I was foolish to think I could just dive in a few months ago. I may know the story but I still need to do some world building/character designs, but it's a very fun process. I also am halted because I have a million other priorities and commissions that I really need to complete! In short I would just like to say, hopefully you guys understand a little more about what's going on with me right now, and I hope you will still support me, but if you're looking to support an artist that purely draws leaking cocks and holes there are many other fantastic artists to support while I sharpen my skills. I want to be up there with the best and I am determined to do so, and I will do so. If you have any other concerns please don't hesitate to message me. Lots of Love, <3 Diz

Diz, your work is wonderful, and you're on such a fantastic technical tear. Tune out the haters and keep on making great things.

Hours Left

I support you 100% Diz! You're a fantastic artist and a great guy. At the end of the day, all the matters is that you're true to yourself. <3

I think it's important to remember that not every reward pack will satisfy everyone. That being said, it's still not right to berate you when you have a life outside of 'drawing dicks' for patreon or tumblr, and you have feelings that are valid just like anyone else. You're an incredible artist, and I'm going to keep supporting you. I know I can't just say 'don't let those people get to you' as if it'll make things better, but at the end of the day, they don't know you. You know you.

If it is anonymous or newly created account then just consider it internet troll.

I believe you'll get over this hump and your art will speak for itself! I would not have picked up the pencil myself if I wasn't inspired by you. Just do you, K? <3

You're a talented artist, Diz, and I greatly enjoy your work. Don't let some negativity get you down!

You're an amazing artist and I appreciate all the art you post and are willing to share. Take care of yourself first and the art will come later. I know I'm not alone in this sentiment, but why else would we support you if we didn't enjoy all your work. I hope you feel better soon Diz

People will always complain. So long as you create what you want to create that's all that matters. If you want to stretch your artistic muscle and try new things, go for it! that's how artists gain experience and grow. If anonymous # 32 doesn't like it they can stop supporting or make their own art. Hell, if 99% of people don't like what you do, it shouldn't matter. Other people dictating an what an artist should be creating is plain ridiculous. They can dislike it, but they have zero right to tell you what you should be creating. Having said that, I just found out about your art not to long ago and i really like your style, can't wait to see what the future holds :)

Talking about negative comments, I've got quite some. And all of them not anonymously. If they are, I might not have to take them seriously, but now it means I am really bad at what I've been doing, that makes me sad lol And I believe anonymous-negative-comments means you are bigger, because people nowadays are too busy to harass someone who is not famous at all hahaha! >_< And it's okay to have some of those... honest comments, with those critics, we can become more motivated. Just relax and stay focus, and make yourself better, if they still don't like you, then be it. You always have many more fans than haters, work for those who love you, not getting sad for your haters, doesn't worth it.

<3 You're talented. You do what you want to do.

your drawings are electric ! hyper masculine, sensual and erotic the energy you put into each piece leaps off the page .. if dicks is all someone craves there are tons on the internet .. from my point of view I would not be here unless I saw something special in your art ... I draw to and have a discerning eye .... keep on doing what You like and are talented at ....... love Dom ;)

Just draw what you want to draw, be true to you

The Eight Phases

Hi Diz, TL:DR at bottom First, I just want to say this took an awful lot of courage to post, and I'm really glad you decided to share. :-) <3 Second, since no one else has, I'll be a shameless jones-ing hoe and say that you are my favorite fix for dicks! XD But that's not the reason I stay around, mind you! ;-) Seriously, the more people complain, the more you are doing something right. You have already addressed the issue of not every picture being sexually explicit months ago. You don't owe anyone any further explanation or justification for that. Just because someone didn't have one particular preference satiated by any particular image doesn't mean they have the right to bleepety bleeping bleep about it. Besides, variety is the spice of life, as the saying goes. Variation of content, subjects, and/or techniques is your prerogative. Besides, I love pictures that tell me a story about the character! And I'm looking forward to all that world building you were talking about! What I can't wrap my head around is people who refuse to live and let live. We get enough of "this is the way things should be" crap from other sources. It's inexcusable to direct this mistreatment at others, especially when we all have had to endure similar abuses. I think certain "little shits" need to get it through their neanderthal pubescent skulls to their tiny underdeveloped brains that you, Diz, are not their or anyone's personal "fountain or perpetual orgasm"! Another point I feel needs to be made is that, Diz, you sharing your works with the world is a privilege. What I mean is you are not obligated to share your creativity with anyone. Getting to see your creativity is a privilege you give to us. <3 Can anyone imagine getting mad at a bird in a park because it's not singing the latest pop song you like from the radio? Yeah, I didn't think so. In fact, you often see people feeding birds because they enjoy their presence. And that's what the pledges on this site are for, an expression of our appreciation for Diz's creativity and presence. If someone decides they like bluejays more than canaries, they go to a different park and feed those birds without all the drama. It is just common sense to not be abusive to other people. And Diz, I don't think calling yourself "foolish" is being fair to yourself. Eagerness, excitement, and being new to something are not foolishness. We all set unrealistic goals sometimes, but it's not a failure on your part because you weren't able to do something inhumanly possible. Things might not always turn how how you want or expect, but trying is more than good enough! How many people don't even try? Nothing ever happens without trying, and trying makes all the difference. Finally, I don't think there is any group in anything you can think of (music, art, acting, etc.) that are "the best". I think that is a self imposed illusion created by humanity. There are only people who brighten the world and the lives of others with their uniqueness! You ARE one of these people Diz, and that makes you a f---ing miracle worker! TL:DR Diz ain't your personal "fountain of perpetual orgasm"! Diz brightens the world and lives of others with his creative uniqueness, so he's a f---ing miracle worker!

Never let consumers dictate what your art focuses on. If they don't get it, they can move on. Inspiration is fluid and as a creator, you have to flow along where it takes you or it may stop temporarily. Do your thang! You're so talented... I'm really excited to see what you come up with next, huge dicks or not :)

People are always going to have a word they need to get in but it's your choice how you want to proceed. I understand that sometimes you want to draw something different that it is not all cocks and ass. Example: I quite enjoyed the Douglas pic from Xenoblade that it made me want to consider purchasing the game. I would never had been aware of the character if it had not been suggested and the pic was erotic enough without having to show cock. You can be erotic without having to resort to a dick shot or an ass shot. Sometimes, leaving some to the imagination is better because it makes people think "What does he got going on downstairs?" You put your art up after a period of time to people who can't pledge on patreon and yet, some are not satisfied. I know you are protective of how you present your work and the negative comments without any constructive criticism is just plain criticism spiced with anger. Don't worry about progress on "Storm", just take your time and weave it to where it best represents the story you want to tell. I rather have a product that the artist can feel comfortable about rather than rushed. Good luck.

While your explicitly erotic art definitely got my attention, I am just as impressed, if not amazed, of your other sfw pieces. And it is always admirable for people (artists included) to find ways to improve upon their craft. Plus having a constantly growing art folio and a stable personal life is no easy task and I applaud you for striving to do so.

While there may always be naysayers and haters out there. you still have an understanding fanbase that supports your decisions.
