Hadn’t seen this before and was skeptical but I enjoyed it a lot. I remember reading an article about the number of different police departments/sheriffs/state and federal agencies in the US. Apparently the FBIs position is there is no official list of all the jurisdictions and who has responsibility for what, so effectively they can’t say how many cops there are and who exactly they all work for.

Awesome, love good shenanigans. I really hope you do the sequel one day. Cheers

From what I know there is contention between different branches. State Troopers technically have jurisdiction across the entire state, but generally handle highways and interstates as well as traffic accidents. City police stay within city limits, and the sheriffs department handles the county in which they reside, generally covering areas not within the city limits. However, sometimes cities will ask for additional assistance from the state, and even without being asked the state does have full power to enforce the law and give tickets/arrest people within the city limits as well. The federal government (such as FBI) generally do not get involved without being asked by the state for assistance.

Throwing in my 2 cents: I've lived in Arkansas for almost a year now. The state troopers here will put a bumper to you and pit you in a heartbeat in the event of a chase. City police will call them in for this very reason, as often times either they're not allowed to pit the offender, or they have to be given very specific permission to do so. It's usually easier to just call in the staties!

Great reaction! Now you two need to watch Beerfest, it's by the same group of people!
