Remember the flashback where the Uncle Hector Salamanca made racist remarks about Gus on the phone. Even though they all work for/with The Cartel, Gus & the Salamancas don't like each other. Whatever happened with the Twins & Hank was a "win-win" for Gus.

I don't think its weird at all to look down on Walt, he is a disgusting person. Walter grew more and more unpleasant to watch for me, and as the show went on I grew to hate him. I liked the show for the other characters. I completely check out during all the Walter/Skylar drama. In my mind his only saving grace is that he is protective of Jesse in a twisted, manipulative, condescending way. It's kind of crazy that I can enjoy a show so much while actively hating the main character. It shows how well written the show is.

My least favorite gift was when my brothers wife would go to Walgreens and give me a multi tool knife. Three Christmas in a row I got a 5 dollar knife / toothpick/pliers/comb which would usually break in a week....the idea of receiving something is nice but, when you phone it in id rather go gift card.

walt cuts the crusts off because thats what Crazy8 did when walt fed him a sandwich and walt ended up trying it and liking it

I'm all for you just talking about food for 2 hours, please start a separate podcast or something :)

really need you guys to anticipate ulterior motives from walt lol He's so much more of a nuanced character than you've been giving him credit for lol Not just pure evil at all

George! "I gonna pee, you wanna wrap it up?" Seriously? :D What a poor choice of words!

Yeah see my comment about this simplistic view of Walt that some people seem to have is coming true here with you guys. When his attitude toward Gale starts to shift, you just automatically assume the worst and call him pathetic. It couldn't possibly be anything altruistic right? I know I'm a little behind, but I really hope you get past this eventually.

The Film Effect

I don’t get how the hell you got to this view of Walt. It’s a bit ridiculous and naive.

I'm not sure why you're obsessed with other people's journey with characters. I probably agree with you, at most points, about Walt, and not with S&G. (Though with the Gale situation, I don't think they're wrong about Walt, just wrong for the wrong reason). What is altruistic? It's a calculated move that, while immediately helping Hank, is ultimately about self-preservation. There can be no objective reality as to the definition of this character. The nature of art is that consumers approach it from their own perspectives

George: Why would Gus warn him, it doesn't make any sense. Also George: the killers warned Hank
