Dogma - Patreon Version

🖤If you two enjoyed this one, I think you should check out "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" for two reasons. Firstly, it's just funny and if you like Kevin Smith, its one of his funnier films. Couldn't tell you if I think its funnier than Dogma or not, would depend on the week you asked LOL. They both have their charms. But Secondly, they do such a hilarious bit about a movie you two have seen on this channel (Won't say which tho). It's only a 1 or 2-minute scene, but they bring in actors from the movie, it's a whole thing. Very hilarious LOL. But all-around funny. Classic Kevin Smith, just a great cast too. Lots of great cameos. I'm 50/50 on if it would even do well on a poll or not, but I think it has its fans so who knows?

Hyperdryve

Yes!!!! I was just thinking about suggesting this one yesterday! So happy.

Jeff I.

Yeah, they would die laughing at that parody scene.

To answer your question George , if I remember correctly yes there was a big protest in the religious community to stop this film from being made . Production was halted a handful of times because of the protests and Kevin Smith and his production team had to have meetings upon meetings to discuss the certain matters of the movie .... I believe. They ended up going to court ..... maybe I'm wrong I can't remember but there was definitely protests to prevent this movie from existence and Kevin Smith had to fight tooth and nail to finish this film

One of my all-time favorite comedies, up there with the Cornetto trilogy.

Good Omens: The book is killer, been meaning to watch the show myself, would be happy to do that along with you guys...

MoulinNoir

GOOD OMENS IS QUITE GOOD i'm just sayin

dmoock

Yes! Watch Good Omens

JayF

This one just seemed like a mess to me. Clerks was much better IMO.

Ok I’m new here, do all Patreon reactions look like this and the Dune? Dune I couldn’t see or hear a thing they were watching

silverarrow06

These are watch-along reactions, you have to play your own copy with theirs to get the reaction and the movie. 🙂

Ph4ZeD

Yes they are all like this, because otherwise they would be pirating the film!

Marko T.

You need to buy/rent the movie and play it on other screen.

Simon Clifton

Apart from episode one which was a little... off to me, I concur! As long as they stay the hell away from The Watch.

In an interview Kevin Smith said, that people who say that this movie is anti religion don't get the movie. It's against the system "church"

more Kevin Smith Please

Judging by your reaction reaction to Jay, I think you guys would enjoy Clerks much more than I did. Plenty of wheezing George potential. More "and" movies: Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid; Mr. and Mr. Smith; Batman and Robin.

Young Blood Priest

No offense but Batman & Robin seems more like cinegringe. Butch Cassidy and the Smith’s are great choices tho.

redddfer44

None taken: Batman & Robin is horrendous :D And George has already watched it for the original Cinecringe. But as long as we're talking his idea of a crossover film that features every character from movies named "X and Y", Joel Schumacher's vision of the dynamic duo would certainly make it even more of a mess :D

jmundt33a

Inducting Simone into the Cinecringe of Batman and Robin would be fun. Would give me a chance to call out the self-serving horse dung Joel Schumacher peddled about how the incompetence of the film was intentional, even measured.

Ron K

I'm sure someone else has said it. But if you keep doing Kevin Smith movies, including Red State, watch the Q&A's he does starting with An Evening with Kevin Smith. Tells a lot of hilarious stories about making his movies. Explains a lot of inside jokes that made it into his movies like "I didn't cum on you, Pete."

Ron K

And Steven Segal is the worst runner in movies.

Philipp Roensch

YES you should watch Good Omens. Neil Gaiman is the producer also because it was a thing he promised to Terry. As for "Jay and Silent Bob Movies", in both Clerks 1+2 and Mallrats they are side characters, but Clerks one is just so good on it's own as an introduction, also full of references and explaining the Jersey locality (many people where cast here). Jay and Silent Boy Strike Back is a classic spoof movie and the Reboot is a solid reunion much later.

Tanx

not only should you both watch all the other Kevin Smith movies...in order of release, but An Evening with Kevin Smith should be thrown in there too. i mean it's not a movie. but so many fun stories about making movies and stuff.
