When I was 14 I got a job at a roadside tourist attraction called Linville Caverns, a small cave system deep into a limestone cliff in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. After working there a couple years a family of spelunkers took me to a different cave a few miles away where I found myself belly crawling through a flowing stream into an increasingly narrow corridor. Two of the kids my age were in front and the father was behind me. Here's where I should mention that I was kinda a fat kid, big cornfeed country boy, 6'4" and 280 pounds at 16 years old. So I got stuck, wedged between the ceiling and the watery floor. Tried to wiggle forward and made it worse, started to get panicky and the dad pulled me back by my ankle. I then sat and waited on them to explore and pick me up on the way out. That was 30 something years ago. Random cave story!

Oh man, the version on Hulu that I watched along with had the crappy US ending (it ends the way George said would have been disappointing). Kind of bummed about that, but it was fun seeing your reaction! Also, imagine how bad it must have smelled in the “mess hall”!

It's descend only if it's from the Descend region of France, otherwise it's just descent.
