I think what makes Jennifer so enduring is a persistent human aspect to her state. She neither was born, nor asked to be a werewolf initially. So all the way to the present, there are aspects of her being she doesn't fully understand. Other monster girls just wave it off, but Jennifer has to actually learn in a less than intuitive way. That's especially so with Wendy taking to her form much more naturally. Being far younger, she adapts to her new being with comparitive ease. (She wants a cub sibling for crying out loud!)

On a side note, I gave a suggestion about moonlight earrings for Jennifer and a pendant for Wendy. The idea being allowing them to transform at any time of their choosing.
